School Diary ideas

Does anyone use an electronic diary that all staff can at least see, even if they cant update it ?

We are always getting clashes as the head will have some activities in his diary (book) and we will have other in our office diary (also a book). I would love to move to a online diary but don't know what to suggest. I use the outlook calendar at home, but don't know how to share diaries. SIMS does have a diary option, but it seems a bit basic, and the teachers seem reluctant to use SIMS for anything other than attendance and dinners.

We use the one on Office 365 which is Outlook afaik. We all have access to it and stuff is highlighted according to who it affects, eg, Head is purple, Office is red, teaching staff is green, etc. We can all add events to it but it does have to be set up for people to do that.
We can see it via our school email accounts in Outlook. It works well though.

We use Google Calendar online - all teaching staff can access it, and add stuff -.strict colour coding and initialing required for any additional entries that teachers put on so it's clear who added what. Very useful.

We also use Google Calendar but have it set up so that Admin & SLT can add to it but other staff can only see a read-only version of it. It ensures that everyone knows what's going on but only authorised staff can add items

We also use google calendar. It's colour coded and everyone knows to look at it to check clashes etc when organising things. It's worked well because if there is a room clash, for example, the person who put it on google calendar 'wins' which means there is real incentive to use it. It can also be accessed from home/ meetings outside school.
