That feeling of - oh man, wtf am I going to teach them? When does it go??

I'm in my second term of a PGCE - it's been a really steep learning curve but I feel I'm at least starting to become comfortable in the classroom.

Only one thing leaves me panicked still though - having to plan a SoW and a series of lesson plan on the basis of one sentence. That feeling of, argh, what am I going to do with this?

Once I actually settle down and do it, it's ok. But if I'm out somewhere not working, relaxing or whatever - the fact that I have to plan flits into my head and I convince myself I can't do it.

When does this get easier?

Thank you angels :) That does make me feel better.

They're doing gateway qualifications in independent living (SEN learners). It's good because they aren't very prescriptive, but also bad because they aren't very prescriptive if that makes any sense!

I need to force myself to embrace the lack of detail or content instead of being scared of it!
