Hope my headteacher sees this. She loves it - mad on data. We teachers...well...there's no doubt it tracks data well. I don't suppose it's spto's fault that that may lead to over assessment and massive teacher workloads!

I don't mind it.

The report writing function is brilliant. It took me about half an hour per child to write their reports once the initial boxes were filled in.

The head was very generous with report writing time too though.

I looked at it, but wasn't overly impressed with the Nursery and Reception area. It doesn't level children based on their age on entry to school, which is one of the measures we are now being asked to assess by.

Also, you couldn't allocate a level yourself - SPTO seemed to do it as soon as you had ticked a certain number of statements.

We are now looking at O Track which seems to do all the things we want it to. Smile

Also, when I looked at it, their "assessing without levels" wasn't yet in place, but that may not be the case now.

We've used it for a couple of years. It was ok but doesn't cope well with the 2014 curriculum. It's also very difficult to use in y1 as the grades don't transfer well from EYFS data.

littlefish you should be able to overwrite levels in core short.

Thanks Kenny. I think we've gone with O track now.

Sorry all PPs - thought my post had sunk without trace. Thank you. Clunkiness with new NC is a bit of a deal breaker.... Will have a look at o track - hadn't even heard of that one.
