Appraisal - no pay rise

I'm in a job share. Colleague was made subject leader of the area we work in, last year. It has been an utter disaster, with dire results. Appraisal targets were data led and the class utterly bombed.
I don't know what I could have done to avert it. I advised HT of situation, and even tried to resign as I was so fed up working around dire planning and teaching. Nothing was done. Long standing issues with support staff have not been tackled, either.
The appraisal comments on recent improvements. This coincides with my taking on full responsibility for planning, despite being part time. All my obs have been good with os features. HT admits she now realises situation and has no idea what I could have done.
New targets are also data led and I believe I can just about make them, as job share due on mat leave shortly. Will be tight, though.
So .. I am doing whole school stuff, I am doing all the assessment and most of the planning for my class for part time pay, I have been consistently good for LEA, HMI and all the other crew under intolerable pressure - and I am taking an effective cut because management refused to deal with my under performing colleagues.
I am incredibly frustrated.

Union. You should not have data driven targets anyway, and you certainly shouldn't have targets that require your colleagues to perform.

However, as you agreed the previous targets I'm not sure what can be done about the lack of pay rise. You could attempt to change your new targets though.

My job is similar. Agree with noblegiraffe´s wise advice that you try to negotiate changes to your new targets so that colleagues´ poor performance doesn´t affect your pay (directly).

I didn't agree them, I said they were unrealistic and I refused to sign. The new ones are more achievable but still data driven. Sorry to hear your job is similar happy! I'll contact union for advice.

And look for another job!

Similar situation to you, last year was job share, targets weren't met, but no acknowledgement of the high proportion of SEN, without support and also inflated results from previous year.
This year we gave optimistic percentage of results, when asked for end of year targets, 72%, these weren't acceptable and were asked to raise the targets, so gave 79%.
On my performance management it's gone down as 90% will achieve level 4. The SLT actually said 90% was unrealistic but optimistic when they set the targets! but kept the paragraph about if targets not met, then support procedures and then capabilities will be put in place.
I'm not going to be set up to fail and have handed my notice in.

Haggis I am! I just missed out on a promotion at another school, sadly.
Rinky it's horrifying to find that this is not uncommon. Kafkaesque. I nearly went earlier this year, job or no job, but I've lost my nerve slightly now.
