When are abscences counted from when working in a school?

For example, in most jobs, they look at abscences from Jan - Jan, and more than 3 = a disciplinary.
In a school does it run Sep - Sep, or Jan - Jan or something else?

It goes with the academic year.

It works on the financial year (with payroll) so April-March.

Ours work on a rolling basis-so if you are off, they look at the last 2 years to see if you've been off before in that period.

My school was rolling too. You should be able to access a copy of the absence policy.

Are you a teacher or support staff? Teachers are April to March; support staff are on a rolling year.

Rolling for both support staff and teachers at my school.
