Ofsted - which days

In your experience, which days of the week have ofsted been in for a 2 day inspection (secondary school)?

Not Mondays and if you get to Wednesday beyond 2pm it wont be that week!

I dont think you can predict which days but Tues/ wed or,Weds/ Thursday are more likely. I have heard less about Thurs/ Fri inspections.

The no notice ones are another matter- I imagine those could be any day but I think you are more likely to get those if your school is in dire straights data wise.

We had a Thursday/Friday in secondary in the May 13 so they do happen.

We had a Thursday / Friday.

We had mon/tue in 2011

We had thurs/fri in 2012

I don't work Wed/Thurs so I've got my fingers crossed!
Why not Mon/Tues?

I reckon we're in line for a no notice anyway, results didn't meet floor targets, head has resigned. Overdue by 6 months.

Can't be Monday unless it's a no notice cos you get notified the day before, before 11am, and they haven't quite got round to phoning on a Sunday ........ yet???

A friend got a no-notice last week, and said it was actually a relief to get it over with, and at least there was only one night of working all through ...

I knew of a school who had a Mon/Tue under the old framework but I think they've gone since the 2012 framework. I believe that very small schools can have one-day inspections so they could get the call Thursday and be inspected on Friday.

Yes I think we'll get a no - notice now

Our school has had Ofsted in today and yesterday. They were informed around 1:30pm on Wednesday.

We are due OFSTED this year. Head has turned into a crazy, monsterous loon! Staff morale has never been so low. She's been told but everything that has been said has fallen on deaf ears. She won't get her 'Good' rating if we're not performing.
