One day in and I am back to not sleeping...

Just that really. It's 2.30 am and I am still awake with my heart racing.

Everytime I shut my eyes I think of something else I need to do and I don't know when I will find the time. Only part time (0.6) but work 11 hour days without a break and a fair number of hours on my days off.

Terrible insomnia all last term/heart palpitations the lot. The powers that be put all sorts of ridiculous paperwork/planning sheets/marking in place to satisfy OFSTED. Support put in place for poorer teachers but nothing improved. Half the staff left last term (the good ones...) and the new ones are so horrified by the work load I don't think they will last long either.

I just want to sleep. Spent the holidays getting back to a normal sleeping pattern and the dark marks under my eyes disappeared. Now I am back to square one...

Someone help me sleeeeeeeeep!

Same, been awake since 4 am. Crazy life.

I'm the same although only part time and love every minute of it. I still don't sleep AND spend more time thinking about school than about my own DC. Ridiculous!

And now I have to do an 11 hour day on 3 hours sleep ...
