I have been invited for a look around the school ...what to expect?

Applied for a TA role at small school, had a phone call today inviting me to come and have a look around the school and meet the staff
I know this meeting will determine whether I'm invited for interview
I'm so nervous, I don't know what to expect, what to wear, what questions to ask
Does anyone have any experience of this kind of meet or can give a bit of advice please?
(Also this will be my first role outside of my TA training)

Dress as you would for an interview, make sure you interact with the children smile lots and ask relevant questions. Try to get a feel of the school and pick up on their ethos and any positive things you've spotted. If they want a chat in the office, this is an interview, so sell yourself but if you are going in a group be positive mention one or two positive things you will bring to the school but don't go over the top. It might be worth looking through the website before you go and being aware if they are in an ofsted catagory such as requires improvement. If you want to really charm them look at their school data dashboard, find if they are weaker in any subjects and suggest any intervention groups you coukd run to help e.g reading- read write inc, maths- springboard (assuming you are going for a TA role). Dress professionally, smile, look interested, interact with any kids you meet. Honestly, whoever shows you round won't expect you to be full of comments about Ofsted and the like, but they will remember and report back that you were very friendly, keen, and interacted well with the kids.

Greet any adults you are properly introduced to with a hand-shake. It might seem overly formal, but you'll be remembered as very polite.
