The new national curriculum at primary, what are you dreading?

Just interested really. I'm sad to lose the Tudors and not sure about teaching Darwin to y6 (especially in mixed yr4/5/6 class)
What are you dreading?

I'm just fed up with change for the sake of change!

The paperwork.

I'm really looking forward to Darwin and evolution!
I'm dreading trying to teach the exciting curriculum we've got planned when our new head is a ditherer and reluctant to spend money on much needed resources when we have an obscenely excessive amount sitting there!

How we are going to assess the flippin' thing!

That and the cost of resourcing new topics, as much of my current topic stuff has come out of my own pocket.

I have to lead my subject, yet am not allowed any training (my area is changing massively). I have to traing up others. I am worried that I haven't done enough research. What if I do a bad job? The book stops with me and my head will be on the line, yet I've had not help/ advice whatsoever as my subject is not on the SDP...

What subject do you coordinate IamBob?

Computing and SENCO. We're a small school and I have no problem getting training/ funding for SENCO role, but this means that I lose out on the computing side.

Do you have any free courses for computing? Our county offered us as ICT co-ordinators lots of free training and professional study groups etc.
Even if your head won't pay for official training, it might be worth ringing around other local schools and seeing if you can meet up and talk with them about things.

Yes. I've been doing lots of work. I feel I'm at the stage where I am getting to grips with programming, but as soon as I have to try to explain what to do to others (grown ups, not children), I freeze and stumble.

I've been trying to redo the scheme of work, but I'm getting overwhelmed. We are a rural school. When I worked in a city, groups of schools would join together to help each other out. I've not found that here.
