Please help...primary SEAL

Hi, I have recently been made subject leader for SEAL and PSHCE. We have all been sent off to research what the new curriculum means for our subjects. I can't find anything to do with the new curriculum which talks about my subject.
What are you doing in September with SEAL and PSHCE? Is there somewhere I can look to find new guidelines?

I'm in a very small school and so I've got all the foundation subjects :) PSHCE isn't in the new curriculum as a discrete subject. So my take on what the new curriculum means for your subject is that teacher's don't have to teach it any more.

MASSIVE OVER SIMPLIFICATION!! I'm told that in the pre-amble at the beginning there's something about teachers looking after the PSHCE needs of the children in their class and responding to them as necessary. So I've taken it to mean that I will do a circle time/planned activity about friendship or bullying or self esteem or whatever when I know it's an issue. But not until then.

I've also just been made pshce coordinator among others! As toomuchicecream said it isn't in the new curriculum. I wasn't happy with seal as I think it's very dry and repetitive and doesn't actually fulfil the objectives set out by the pshce society so I've binned it off. Instead I've taken the pshce society's objectives and built my own curriculum. Did take a while but was worth it and I'm actually quite proud of it!

Hmmm! Is confusing!! I haven't taught SEAL (only just come back to work after having been SAHM). Do most places do one or the other then? SEAL or PSHCE? Think most do SEAL where I am, I teach nursery so am a bit out of the way from main school. Don't know where to start!

I think most schools teach PSHCE through SEAL.
