Job application, shall I call/email

Deadline was yesterday, interviews are Monday. Handed in my application last Tuesday. Not heard anything at all. Shall I call or email? How much notice for an interview is normal nowadays?

I wouldn't chase just yet. Just because the deadline was yesterday doesn't mean that they'll have had time to review all applications and agree who to interview just yet.

I'd ring tomorrow after school

Agreed - give them until the end of tomorrow.

Ok thanks! Keeping my fingers crossed that something arrives in the post

They are probably in shortlisting hell at the moment. It takes a few days to sort through the applications, especially if there are quite a few, and narrow down the field.

I rang and spoke to the head sec yesterday. She said they were shortlisting after school and she would ring in the morning (today). I've not had a call or email so do you think thats it? As she didn't call should I assume I'm not shortlisted? Or should I call again with the risk of coming over a bit desperate?! Shall I leave until tomorrow?
