Urgent answer required - Am I a member of the GTC

This is for a job application.

I am just completing PGCE - but started in 2011.

I have a letter from GTC with my teacher reference number on.

But I thought you only became a member when you achieved QTS?
Besides I thought the GTC had been abolished. I'm confused. Application is due in tomorrow.

I have a GTC teacher number from a PGCE I started in the 90s & dropped out of to do a masters degree.
I then went back and did a PGCE in 2008, but the number was the same one from the 90s, and I used it on applications.

Yes, the GTC was abolished in 2012, the register of teachers has I think been taken over by someone (not sure sorry!)
I can't see what harm it would do to put the number down anyway.

Yeah. The number is the DfE number now. Which I have put down.

There is an additional question.
Are you a member of the GTC? Yes or No?

yes I think you are,

If you submit an application by Email. How do you sign it.

Some have said to bring a signed copy if invited for interview but others don't specify. Is it worth trying to get a digital image of my signature onto the form?

just type your name if it lets you, if not leave it blank
