I just wondered if you all breathed a sigh of relief on hearing the news that Liz Truss is going to fly in a load of teachers from Shanghai to show you where you've been going wrong all these years!

When are the people in charge going to stop trying to cherry pick bits that they like from other countries (whose infrastructure bears little resemblance to our own) and enforce it here?!

Sounds like a good laugh. And you gotta laugh...

Put them in our schools for a year and see how they get on.

mnistoo that was my first thought! Don't put them in hubs we go to visit, send them to my school to teach bottom year 9 for a year and then see how that all works out....

Err, didn't the LEA provide specialist advisers to do this same job?

Put them in my class for a day..see how they get on!

Maths, I'm sure, won't be a problem. I'm thinking they might have eyes wide open at the behaviour issues though Wink

Does anyone know what standard Gove reached in maths? I think his degree is in English.
