Creative classroom storage solutions? HELP!

I am a regular who has name changed as too many RL people know my username/ would be able to identify me easily.

The classroom I've very recently inherited lacks storage space and needs organising. Problem is, there isn't much storage and no money to buy anything new! Does anyone have any creative storage solutions?

I've been teaching a long time and have accumulated a lot of stuff. I am used to having some sort of cupboard/storage but I haven't here so don't know where to put my stuff!

Any teachers with minimal storage space have any creative solutions?

Primary or secondary? I'm secondary. I lost my classroom after two years and became a nomad on a full timetable! I streamlined, found a place in another teacher's room to keep year/class folders with any resources i'd made and laminated in to use again in the future and went paper free as much as possible - only ever printed enough for the class, recycled religiously at the end of every day. Obviously, the students had exercise books but they were responsible for them as long as I didn't have them for marking. I was really strict (the first month or so was hellish with lost/forgotten books) but got there with all but the very weakest. I don't use text books but the ones I had been assigned were likewise placed in anothers classroom. Everything I needed to teach with was in a wheeled box, glue, spare pens, scissors, spare books, dictionaries, white boards and pens, the lot! If I can be that strict then you shall be fine with an actual room! When I had a room there was a small strong cardboard box on each table with this equipment in (I believe I used the 'lids' of paper boxes from reprographics)
You could use boxes and folders to store things on a window ledge, or if you have a spare desk use it as a storage area (under and on) too. Nothing wrong with charity shop shelf sets either...

eek, I wasn't much help then! Sorry! I'm sure one of our primary colleagues will have better suggestions...

most of my stuff is in boxes at home......not much help, sorry....

I bought tray storage for home, store each topic in box files and only print what I need. Most my stuff is at home.

Oh I can sympathise! I did a year as head of two departments (history and RE) with no office or classroom!!! I came back from maternity to find they'd given my classroom to an NQT so I literally had to beg the teacher's whose rooms I used (obviously all over the school, lots of running through corridors in between lessons!) to leave boxes, kids had to lug textbooks and in the end the head of SEN took pity on me and made space for me to have a desk/base in the SEN room! I did ask very nicely if I could have a desk in the staff planning room, but no, that would have been unfair on everyone else! What, everyone else with their own classroom???? It was a tough year. We were already the only faculty in the school without an office or dedicated storage space. Icing on the cake came the following year when they gave me a classroom with an interactive whiteboard.....yey!.....but then refused to give me laptop because the head of geography had one so 'Humanities already had theirs'...........I got pregnant again and left after that!!!!!!! And, yes, it was an exit plan!!!!
