Resigning

I'm thinking of resigning from my job but have a three month notice period. I have been signed off sick with stress and can't face being back in the classroom. Has anyone resigned and not had to work during their notice period? Thanks.

Maybe talk to your union about a settlement agreement with gardening leave.

You will need to get signed off, and send the notes into school as and when.
As long as you are declared unfit for work, you don't have to return.
