paying back childcare vouchers if not returning after mat leave?

I wonder if anyone has any experience of this area. I am taking my mat pay and aware that I would pay back the 12 weeks half pay if I do not return. However, would I also have to pay back the childcare vouchers I receive while on SMP only, as these are on top of the SMP payment?Payroll don't seem to know either. Thanks.

No you would not have to pay these back.

You only have to pay back anything that is over and above the statutory minimum that employers are obliged to offer. Continuing childcare vouchers is part of the legal minimum, so cannot be reclaimed by them).
