Setting work when ill......

Ok, so I know I posted to the contrary on a thread a while back....
This morning I got up and felt dreadful (I have a chest infection). I couldn't face setting work but knew I would get moaned at or worse if I didn't, so I went in. I spent the day a sweaty, week-kneed wreck, trying not to throw up as I was coughing so much. Hmm
Anyone else?

I could have written this exact post. Except I was trying not to piss myself too. And have too much to do and too many deadlines to meet not to go in.

Well I didn't go in yesterday and don't work today anyway.
I made sure I'd left work on weds in case I was off. Just as well really as I keep having the overwhelming urge to lay down, on the floor if necessary, wherever I am. Apparently I'm very rattly and am on super-strength antibiotics. If I don't feel better in a few days I may need steroids as well (I'm asthmatic).
I should have the world's flattest stomach with the coughing I've been doing....

A colleague had several courses of abs and a couple of lots of steroids and was almost hospitalised.
