I came across this and thought it looked a great idea. Free bundles of trees to plant for schools from the woodland trust. Applications have to be in by Jan 2014. Thought I might mention it to ds's school. I've put it here incase any teachers might be interested in the offer.

I've just reread it and it's actually open to school, community and youth groups. Perhaps should have put it somewhere more general! Confused

Did this a few years ago. Had a lovely planting session and then the council's tractor mowed then down. Angry

soapbox same thing happened with us, but we were smart Grin and complained. The landscape company provided us with about 30 fantastic saplings about 3 times bigger than the Woodland Trust trees (i.e. that you could see!); AND they planted them for us!
