Help - only had verbal offer - due to start next week!?!?

I was offered and accepted a teaching job verbally on the interview date nearly three weeks ago. I'm due to prep over half term ready to start the first week back but I've never had no written confirmation before. It feels weird. What should I do??

Have you had a timetable and idea of what to prepare? If so, I'd do nothing and just turn up. Some schools are just rubbish at admin. Do you have a contact number for Head of Dept? It would be reassuring if you could speak to him/her today.

If you have had nothing, I would definitely be ringing or visiting the school NOW!

Just turn up. You only need a verbal agreement to start with before you get your contact. It's a 'gentleman's handshake'.
