It is time for my first appraisal and I need some advice about observations. What will they observe if I don't 'teach' children?

Would they not observe you observing and advising? Or look at your reports and advice? Maybe do a 360 degree feedback thingy?

I'm not an advisory teacher, but have done lots of outreach work and would be happy with any of these forms of 'observation'. Hope you can work out something helpful.

Thanks Judy. I am going to talk to her this morning and arrange something.

Hi selpats- I'm an advisory teacher too; I'd be interested to know if you reached a satisfactory outcome with this?

Hi
She is going to observe some home visits, meeting mainly with parents, but about children.
I asked the union for advice and they said the obs don't need to be of 'teaching' but it is best if it is something that is a main part of your role.
