So, I just got a 1 on my PMR in my non-specialist subject (RSS). I should be thrilled. But honestly, I just don't see it. I've now asked to see my HoD teach before he sees me in the hope of a perspective reset! Any tips on how to convince myself my lessons are outstanding when that's what they're given (I know this sounds stealth boasty but is a genuine issue)

I think you probably have high standards & your measure of a job well done is yours rather than feedback from others. So, for you this 1 is outstanding from the perspective of someone else. Your outstanding is somewhat different. This is probably what keeps you good at your job - the downside is probably your own high expectations of your self.
