Threshold Application Deadline - HELP!!!

I work for an independent school and submitted my threshold application in July. I haven't heard yet whether or not my application was successful. I haven't chased it until now as I am on maternity leave and have been preoccupied, but I don't want to miss the boat. I am not totally sure about how the system works, please could someone explain?

I don't know how I can find out if I am covered by the Regulations, but I understand that this affects the application deadline date. Is this deadline the one for me submitting the original request or for the Head Teacher to submit the request to the LA (does he have to do this if we are an independent school anyway?).

As you can tell, I'm really confused, and would appreciate any help you can offer! Many thanks.

The Head doesn't submit the request to the LA. Your threshold application is based on 2 previous 'successful' PM reviews. Your Head has to take it to Governors with their recommendation. Pay for teachers doesn't have to be finalised until 31st October each year.
This may all be different in independent schools though!

Thanks HedgeHog. That makes more sense now! The Head has reviewed my application and has added his comments, then passed it to the Trustees (equivalent of governors at our school). That's where it's all come to a halt. The Trustee who received the application acknowledged it and said that he was due to have a finance meeting in the middle of July and he would be in touch further but I have heard nothing since. I guess I should go back to him and chase it, and ask if my application has been successful. Just wondered if there was a way that I could give him a deadline, but it doesn't sound as though there is! Thanks again :)
