Anyone taught phonics to ks2?

I'm teaching y6 lower ability this year, not done it before but know the kids very well. They are fine with reading but when they were in reception were taught through mixed methods including endless word packs to learn. They haven't had the phonics tuition our current ks1 children have received.
I've identified spelling as a major weakness across the group, we tried the GAPS test just before the holiday and while several did well in the grammar part many got under 50% or as low as 10% in the spelling. I feel like phonics would help but want to know if there are any great resources that are less babyish than the reception materials?

I think Ruth Miskin has a 'Fresh Start' thing, never seen it irl though.

I've taught phonics to KS2 many a time as been in EBD where, although they may have good ability, they very often have gaps.

Have used Read Write Inc, which was fine. Or just make your own stuff and tailor it to their interests. Write stuff for them to read based on what they like.

Fresh start is a learn to read scheme. Aimed at Y5 and above.

It's not a selling scheme.
