I'm hoping to get some (primary/ early years) interviews soon, after being at home with my children for a few years. Can anyone give me some ideas of what to read about regarding current initiatives and issues? I don't knew where to start really!

New Curriculum
New SEN code of practise
Move to include more continuous provision/child initiated learning in year 1 and in some places year 2.

Did you use APP before you went off? If not, then make sure you're up to speed on teacher assessment (for year 2 particularly).

That's probably enough to be going on with...

Thanks, that's really helpful. Gives me a starting point for reading.

Boys' writing (that ol' chestnut)

Transition YR/Y1

New early years' goals

Outside learning

SMSC (Social moral spiritual cultural) elements of the curriculum - some HTs may be keen on that one
