My DD1 is awaiting an assessment & diagnosis for Aspergers. Thanks to her wonderful Y2 teacher who has experience in this area, what could have been an awful year for my DD has been completely the opposite. DD1 has blossomed, it is wonderful to see :)

I see that teachers get a lot of bad press - I just wanted to express my thanks & remind people that a good teacher can transform a childs life.

DD1's teacher - I wish I could name you but I cant... Thank you.

Hooray! Wonderful to hear, and just the sort of thing that teachers live for (to be able to help and change things for children and see them blossom). The praise is nice too..

That's lovely! As a teacher it is so rare that a parent thanks us it makes our day - and lots of us do put in huge amounts of effort to support 'our' kids. Glad you have had someone dedicated to help you over a difficult time.

:) Just spotted this at the end of a bad day, and it really made me smile. Thank you!

Crikey, I think most teachers deserve medals.

Especially the ones who spend all day with teenagers. Grin
