Writing an application and just want to check I haven't missed any vital skills that will be looked for!

Thanks in advance!

Empathy, pastoral care, good at work with parents when kids have problems and making effective referrals to other agencies when needed.

Thank you , I think I need to use the word empathy.

Patience, tolerance, organisation, the ability to remain calm at all times (!) and, I think most importantly, high expectations for yourself, the staff you will lead and your students.

Good luck!

Thank you. Will add those to my list to check. I've read the blooming thing so many times, I'm losing the plot!!

No problem! I hate application forms too- I'm meant to be doing one now but can't get going!

olivo · 13/05/2013 21:23

I know the feeling, it's only tonight I've been able to have a really good go at this one. Good luck to you too!

data analysis skills; you need to show that you can analyse a range of data from attendance, academic monitoring, parental involvement etc and to be able to put into place initiatives to improve the statistics (this is for the application and interview; not what parents/other staff will want!)

olivo · 14/05/2013 21:04

Sadly, I lurve statistics cricket balls, thanks!
