Simple question - how do you store yours?

In the kids' trays, which into the bottom of their table. Saves a lot of hassle doling them out and gathering them in.

I have kit boxes in the middle of the tables.

Startail · 10/05/2013 02:22

And how do you clean them?

My kitchen one is a total pita. Professional advice most welcome.

Secondary here... large poly pockets each with a board, cloth and pen inside.

PuppyMummy · 11/05/2013 22:15

Pile in middle of tables, mini board rubbers on tables too. Give out pens when needed. Im secondary also.

ravenAK · 12/05/2013 02:16

I'm also secondary - I just pass them back like any other resource, by handing a dozen each to three kids in the front row!

Cleaning them - I have a tub of board wipes, but I've used bog standard pound shop wet wipes & they work just as well.

I ask the kids to give them a wipe over at the end of the lesson, using a scrap of j-cloth, but every few weeks they do need a proper clean with a solvent. I save it up as a detention task: 'you can go when you've cleaned all 32 of these'.

In a box.

LittleEsme · 15/05/2013 20:19

In a drawer, but I admit it's a faff handing them out, then handing the pens and rubbers out. A colleague of mine has a board, pen and rubber in a clear pocket with a plastic zip lock, and I'd also like to do this, but my Head of Dept won't give me the cash!

Primary here.

Mine stay on the tables - right number for each group, with a pot holding the pens and cleaning cloths. Saves handing them out every time. The children are trained to tidy tables correctly at the end of each lesson.
