Does anyone use pinterest? I was wondering if it could be used as a revision tool for the students - getting them create and share? If anyone is using could I have an idiots guide to it - had a brief look around (report writing avoidance Smile ) but didn't get very far!

I use Pintrest in my own time to keep track of interesting things I come across online. It's basically an online version of a noticeboard. You create/maintain various boards of images on different themes.

There are also a lot of very good teaching ideas/resources on there (although a bit Americanised).

I'm not sure how you'd use it as a learning tool though... Learning/revising what?

If you should decide to encourage students to use Pinterest make sure that you make them fully aware of copyright issues i.e. just because it is on Google does not mean that it is free from copyright and that permission should be sort from the owner of the image or work.
