Lesson ideas - The Crucible

Does anyone have any lovely lesson ideas for teaching The Crucible for GCSE Lit? I guess I'm perfectly capable of coming up with my own but I'm a bit knackered and have a big cold sore so I thought I'd consult the hive-mind instead of thinking for myself.
Year 11, top set. Should be a joy but the energy for joy has left me today. Thanks in advance if anybody has anything to suggest.

Have they done anything yet, or is this an introductory lesson?

Have read the play through once but not yet any analysis.

Get the to tes or kentaylor.co.uk. Also try the education sections of the RISC and nt. I got loads of resources from those sites. It all depends whether its from a lit or drama point of view as well. And don't forget to show your pupils clips of the Mcarthy trials on YouTube. And mention Sam Wanamaker who left the states to come here. He was instrumental in getting the globe rebuilt.

There are loads if education packs available if you google. I teach it as Drama rather than Lit but have made use if lots of online stuff. The 1996 film is excellent - Arthur Miller did the screenplay so tins pretty faithful, for a film, anyway. Also loads of stuff on American websites about Salem- I find it useful to remind students that it's based on real events.
