I'm returning to my p/t teaching job after long maternity leave next month. I feel very out of the loop with changes to Ofsted criteria, etc.

Can somebody kind and helpful tell me in simple terms what I need to know to be up to date with regards planning, lesson obs, etc. I'm primary. I'm scared of the TES boards so would rather post here!

I can try!

The headline is that It seems to be MUCH harder to get outstanding, an there's a big push on independence. Ofsted no longer require lesson plans, although you can give them to the inspector if you want. They expect to see progress every 15 minutes, which clearly is just absolute bollocks.

I'm secondary so can't offer anything more specific, sorry! I'm sure others will be able to help you though.

Hope it all goes well, how are you feeling about it? I get The Fear after even a week off!
