A robin. Pre cut brown circle, pre cut red circle, sticky triangle for the beak. Then glitter, glitter glue or decorate as desired. Ds3 (6) did one last week. It is really good.

Put glue on a festive shaped biscuit cutter, press onto a card, take off cutter and sprinkle glitter on the glue shape. Minimal mess and glue is contained in a smallish area.

A4 sheet of card folded long ways, get children to cut out triangles 2 at the top of folded card and 2 at the bottom and then 3 at each end (so it looks like a christmas cracker). Get children to finger paint in white paint using 2 different fingers snowmen all over card. Then very small dobs of glue sprinkle glitter in between snowmen. When paint is dried ask children to add extras ie hat scarf etc.... Looks good in green or red card!

Oops! Just realised this is a teachers' area and I have no idea how competent someone in year 2 is as DD is 3. Sorry!

Think we did cutting out Christmas tree shapes from a stencil, then sticking sequins/ sparkly paper/ pipe cleaners on for decoration. Might actually do that again this year!

Use triangles and circles to make the figures for a nativity scene- triangle for body, circle for head, simple shapes for stable and manger.

Pre cut green Christmas trees are good for decorating with sticky shapes arrrr glitter/glitter glue and stars for the top.

White snowflakes (fold paper and cut out shapes) unfold and stick on to coloured card. Decorate with glitter.

These may be a bit basic for Y2 but the easier they are the more they can do themselves.
