How do I train to become a TA?

I ve been a parent helper at my childrens school for 4 years and really enjoy helping the teachers and seeing the children learn and mature. My DS has special needs and is 3 years behind his peers so I know the frustrations when learning is delayed. I have been considering becoming a TA, possibly with SEN Children. How would I go about doing this? It has been a long time since I was a student myself. What would the training involve?

Most training can be done on site- start applying for jobs at your local schools and enquire about what training they offer.
