Prince William looks more King-like than the King these days.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Today 12:32

What's 'looking king-like?'

maudelovesharold · Today 12:32

The Duke of Kent looked so frail.

He exudes statemanship and sovereignty and has the same stage presence as the late Queen. I love Charles but he doesn't have that same 'it' factor.

I was thinking that as well.

Any other poster I might be inclined to ask what's so funny, but seeing as it's you... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you mean William is taller and looks much healthier? Because Charles has cancer.

I completely agree.

Its the first time I thought King Charles looked very unwell. To me, it looked as though he was wearing make-up to smooth his face and maybe add some colour.
I felt so very sad and sorry for him.

Nothing to do with anyone’s health!

angstridden2 · Today 14:50

The King and Queen are both nearer 80 than 70.They are just back from a longhaul flight after a royal tour which I imagine was more than usually sensitive. Followed by last night’s Remembrance performance and now the Cenotaph ceremony. He is also still having treatment, I believe. I would think they’re both very tired.

I’m in my 40s and I would be feeling tired after the week they’ve had.

OffTheMap · Today 15:33

William’s military get up is way more snazzy and glamorous than Charles’ grey great coat.

Rowgtfc72 · Today 15:41

Got to say my first thought was will King Charles still be here for next years ceremony.

Edited

I thought he looked emotional, not necessarily ill. It’s a very sombre occasion.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Today 15:45

He's pushing 80
He has cancer
He has just been on a politically sensitive tour
He was at the Royal Albert Hall last night and probably didn't shoot off immediately when it ended at 10.30
We have no idea what the treatment is or how it affects him

When IS he entitled to look bit tired and not as chipper as a man 34 years his junior?

Charles has always had a weak, rich boy chin and facial expression.

I believe Charles wore his Marshall of the Air Force uniform, with its long gray greatcoat and various accessories.

The others all work uniforms representing different branches of the services too.

Wow, math… does money affect the chin?

Wonder how hard you will be working at 80 and with cancer? and how you would like being told you don't have presence or 'it factor' compared to someone in their 40s who isn't working as much and is in fine health.

At least Charles is more present in his role

Charles does do many more engagements than William and pretty much always has.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Today 16:10

I have to say that abusing someone for a facial feature they can't help just because they're royal and male is a new low. Is 'rich boy chin' a recognised facial defect or a made up one? I'm assuming the poster who used it doesn't see it as positive thing to have.
