Don’t forget how she looked down her nose at the Christopher Wren designed ‘cottage’.

I had forgotten about that. Unbelievable.

The palace is already completely finished with her. MM has nothing to lose except Harry&HaMlets now.

And her title . Frankly I think she would give up the HaMlets to keep her title plus a huge settlement.

Was that the one where, horror of horrors, she could see some cars parked in the distance?

I think that was Frogmore Cottage at Windsor (ie where the five houses were joined together in one massive, renovated house), where from an upper floor you could see a small carpark for a part of the Windsor Park or the Windsor Estate maybe? It rings a vague bell.

There is an almost pathological grabbiness about her. So much footage out there of her completely showing herself up by getting all frenzied over free stuff, gifts, awards, mics. She's like a bloody seagull with her claws clutching and clawing at everything. Wrenching things off of Harry like a deranged lunatic. I've never seen anybody who behaves like her.

Seagulls don’t have claws - they have vicious beaks that they use to tear things. Hawks have claws but her predilection for collecting shiny things would be more like a magpie.

Hummingbirdz · Today 08:44

I would dearly love to know if Harry is beginning to see her as she really is, not through lust clouded lenses.

Yes, I think you're right. Lets hope she can't see any cars from the bedrooms at Wace Cottage .....

I think H is hoping his df will come up with a country pad for him. I feel sorry for the DCs, having to move schools and houses.

I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. Charles has plenty of property he could let them have and it wouldn't cost him (or the taxpayer) any extra. What is less clear is how choosy they could be about location. Any posters who know the area they're in: without naming the school (we did say we wouldn't do that, and it's honestly not needed) are there any royal properties at least vaguely in the right location? Like within a two hour convoy journey?

Perhaps it's the the seagulls from Finding Nemo she reminds me of "mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine" 😄

I thought they were in Portugal for half term?

Rockyroadminibites · Today 08:51

The only thing of value HaM have to sell is information about the RF. The fact that M is looking to do an interview shows exactly why the RF are avoiding giving them any more to sell by not having anything to do with them. The fact H is not joining this one may be because he finally has the nouce to realise there can be no reconciliation whilst he makes every comment public. But even there I suspect it is only ‘I will keep quiet now but may sell it all later if I don’t get what I want’.

Kingzandqueens · Today 08:52

Mylovelygreendress · Today 08:04

So it looks like “ sources” were almost right . Wace has reclaimed his house but has offered them a house on his estate which could be anything really and I doubt Meghan will be happy given that she was unhappy the HaMs were only allocated a wing of the Governor’s house in Australia and referred to their ( very grand) accommodation in Africa as a housing unit !
Delusions of grandeur.
I agree with whoever said that H will be hoping/ expecting Pa to offer him ( appropriate) accommodation.
Interesting that H wants nothing to do with M’s proposed interview . I am fairly certain she will try to suggest the RF , or at least W and C, told her not to say anything.
As if she ever listens to advice !

The only housing that will be appropriate (by Hams standards) will be a comparable size to W&Cs...

Definitely won't be lust anymore I wouldn't have thought. But I do think he formed a very deep and complex emotional dependency on her early on. The psychology behind it all is probably quite fascinating and very sad. He would possibly fall into a deep depression without her tbh.

There's no way KC will let them have a property in London or on the Windsor estate so, I think, the only choice would be the properties at Sandringham or Balmoral

The POW has a lot of Duchy of Cornwall properties which I believe are all in the west country, Isles of Scilly and at least one in Wales. How the POW would feel about leasing one of these to H is anyone's guess

I don't know whether Princess Anne has any suitable properties at Gatcombe Park - the area would be right

I think Edward & Sophie have a few properties they hire out as holiday accommodation at Bagshot Park so I'm guessing these would be too small for H&M's needs

I don't know what properties Earl Spencer has at Althorp. H used to be friends with the Duke of Westminster but wasn't invited to his wedding and the POW was an usher was chosen as godfather to the DOW's baby last year so I'm guessing H has burnt his bridges there

On the face of it there are plenty of Royal locations to choose from, but in practice not many would be suitable. Windsor would be the obvious but that would be intolerable to W&C and I simply don't believe W would allow it.
I don't think Highgrove has any suitably large houses although it does have smaller cottages, anyway C&C wouldn't want them on their doorstep.
Sandringham and Balmoral are holiday destinations, too isolated and what about schools? Not at all likely.
So it would probably need to be somewhere in London, KP or St James palace.
Not what they would be wanting I'm sure.
Most of the other country estates are property of the Duchy of Cornwall (William) and unlikely to be offered.
In any case, where ever it might be, IF KC was minded to offer them somewhere, it will mean another school move for the Hamlets.

That's because she's uncultured. She doesn't value heritage. She's prefer a soulless new build, very shiny and painted greige.

I'm getting Cameron Diazs house in The Holiday vibes from your description, Meghan would probably love thatv& the reality for the RF would be more Kate Winslets The Holiday cottage (my dream home!)

But I do think he formed a very deep and complex emotional dependency on her early on. The psychology behind it all is probably quite fascinating and very sad.

IMO PH is stuck emotionally at when his mother died (I think the same opinion has been aired on here a lot). MM fulfils the role of Diana for him in whatever way she does. If either of them gives up it'll be her, and it'll be another maternal abandonment for him.

Starryfifty · Today 09:11

I really don't think KC wants the stink of the markles near him or the palace. If he gives them a property, it's all The King wants his darling GC close leaked left right and centre

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Today 09:14

If KC has the M's near him it'll be 'sources' whining that they never get invited to things, he never sees the GCs and the Wales won't do playdates. Much better to keep on ignoring them. They're in their 40s, they're old enough to fend for themselves.

Starryfifty · Today 09:14

Why can't they go and stay with CS ?

I found it quite disturbing in Spare to listen to Harry's voice seemingly guilelessly recount how from the very first day he invited her home, MM was shocked by his Nott Cottage accomodation ("it's like a frat house") and how when he took her to visit W&C in their home for the first time she was flabbergasted by how much more opulent their surroundings were. Either Harry was happy enough before he met her and she infected him with her rampant ambition, greed, avarice etc. Or, he already was secretly full of resentment and jealousy and she just encouraged it and made it so much worse. Personally I believe the latter.

ImaPrinceImaPrinceanddonchaforgetit · Today 09:15

I do find Ian Wace's generosity fascinating. Back quite a few threads when it was first discussed, it was noted that he had bought a rather fabulous penthouse in New York with his girlfriend. I suspect he doesn't spend much time at the Northampton place, more likely dividing his time between NY, Scotland and possibly he has somewhere in London too. So it might have seemed no problem to say You can stay at my place in the country.... I wonder if Harry spun a line about it being temporary as Pa would be offering somewhere...
Next thing he's got squatters!

No doubt it's a very big house with lots of rooms but would you really want those too using your own bedroom/dressing room? Presumably not, but there must be other guest rooms with empty wardrobes available. Still - there's at least a nanny to accommodate plus security hanging around. Do Wace's staff do all the cleaning, laundry, meals???
From my research watching Superyacht chefs on YouTube, staff like nannies and security eat at different times to their employers. As a private person offering use of your home, his chef (if there is one hanging around there for the odd occasion he drops by) would probably expect to do regular mealtimes, not be running around at the beck and call of visiting staff, so that would probably be quite annoying.

I imagine a big estate has other houses for staff and perhaps he has one or two for guests - interesting he initially offered the main house, perhaps a guest house wasn't available at that time. Presumably this house is furnished.

They really are sofa surfing.

I'm sure the invasion of his privacy has been an unwelcome consequence of extending such a warm and generous offer to the H&Ms. How much longer will he remain generous hearted I wonder.

IdaGlossop · Today 09:15

Now here's a curiosity.

Daily Telegraph last week: Noelle Rasmussen: 'Something was always off about grandpa https://archive.ph/g5tI1

Daily Mail: Noelle Rasmussen says on 2 November she is shocked by the discovery of child porn images and that 'I never felt creeped out by him' (TMs) She says that Loveless asked her to mail the letter to Meghan's security team in London but never told her of its contents https://archive.ph/IZ9na Meghan's security team and the fixated person's unit are two different parts of the Met.

I also watched Tom Skyes talking to Tom Bower. The view from that conversation is that MM and TMj are in league and it's all about money. They think Meghan planned this from the time of the 2019 letter. The 'daddy's girl' line for Netflix and the Royal family treated me badly line were deliberate, to create shock value when they released the TMs story. Meghan's December 2025 letter to TMs drew the starting gun. TMj, short of money, then went to The Sun with the child porn image story, being paid £80,000.

Does the Tom x 2 story (so many Toms) add up? I'm not sure, because if they are both in it together and doing it for money, is the money enough for them?

Best thing for KC is to give them money to buy somewhere permanent, preferably out of the UK

MajesticMeanderings · Today 09:19

The thing is, if they really, really wanted to stay in the UK they could sell their properties in either/and Montecito & Portugal and buy a decent property here

If, and knowing what we know of them both, it's a very big IF, they chose wisely well within their budget and made some wise investments and led a modest lifestyle, they could have a very nice life

Of course, had they done this 6 years ago without all the shenanigans of Spare, Netflix and jam making they would be in a better position now

But they seem incapable of drawing up a workable plan and sticking to it

SqueakyDinosaur · Today 09:19

IIRC, KC offered them an estate in Herefordshire shortly after they married. Given that he was PoW at that point, of course the likelihood that that particular property now belongs to W as part of the Duchy of Cornwall is high, and the concomitant likelihood of it being offered again is approaching zero.

I wonder if either of them reflects on the fact that they are now scrabbling for scraps of what was previously handed to them on a plate?
