I can’t even comprehend the horror and grief the victims and their loved ones went through. It’s too awful to think about.

No-one held accountable, no prosecutions, the fund for the families used in part to clear the tip (subsequently repaid).

Like Hillsborough, Grenfell and those in care homes who died of Covid.

I was only 6 and I still remember it being on TV. It makes me very sad.

Thank you for posting these photos. Aberfan has been on my mind all day.

I was only 5 at the time, so my memories were really formed after the fact. I am glad that the Royals take it so seriously, and I hope the people of Aberfan understand how much they are in our thoughts. 💔

I still remember it from my childhood, very dark days. My thoughts are with them all today.
