I'ts wonderful to see Harry & Meghan happy & smiling & back in the UK supporting their charities.

Regardless whether people agree or disagree with their return, like all families we may not always agree,we may even fall out for long periods of time. The important thing is finding it in our hearts to forgive while leaving bitterness in the past. Above all we must consider the unforgiving legacy we may leave behind & the children who can never be happy & fulfilled being brought up within a fueding family.

I’m not sure why you ladies are bothering…as I said many years ago and it’s still true today….there are some that would defend and argue that Meghan was innocent even if she was filmed kicking a kitten…..

That's what I've come to realise, Jeff! There are no depths H&M won't stoop to, no lies they won't tell, no money they won't chase, and still some people regard them as somehow decent and honest people. Go figure.

Exactly! , I admire the energy of anyone who can keep trying to explain the facts but honestly I don’t have the stamina now and it really is a waste of time if people refuse to see the actual evidence of the truth! 🤷‍♀️

No one will believe me but I am really not a fan.

What I am a fan of is fairness and objectivity of reporting.

For that reason I tend to try and look at the facts, and how they are spun.

I have lost a lot of faith in what BP, or their favoured journalists or spokespeople say, since it’s been discovered that they have covered up the activities of AMW for over a decade, and defended him and his racism.

And that is why I no longer automatically believe everything that is spun about MM and Harry to be 100 % true either.

I am a fan of the truth.
That is why I have little respect for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

This overall picture does tell us something. We see frequent accusations that BP, KP and members of the RF leak and brief against Harry and Meghan. We have never once had proof of this, but the accusations persist.

Yet when faced with proof that Harry and Meghan leak and brief, the same accusers are completely silent, refusing to acknowledge all evidence.

This demonstrates a clear lack of objectivity and proof of bias against the Royal Family and their staff.

Very true….I don’t believe you! , nobody would spend this amount of time and energy arguing that black is white for someone who lies constantly if they were not!!

But that is true of quite a few monarchists too, who either are prepared to overlook certain alleged murky narratives that the BP spin about incidents involving bags of cash or cash for passports, or pay offs on behalf of AMW, because they genuinely believe in the balance of powers and that a constitutional monarch is good for the country.

Or they still have a desperate need to still believe in the fairy tale and are able to enjoy the frocks and the jewellery, despite knowing that BP uses NDAs, cease and desist legal letters, and considerable influence to make sure that the so-called “official” BP narrative is the one that prevails, and despite knowing objectively that the monarchy is primarily interested in its own survival and people who oppose that become collateral damage.

Harry says he wants no drama & wants a reconciliation with his family, Thomas Markle has constantly asked to reconcile with H&M so let's be having it!
It would be very hypocritical of H&M not to reconcile with the Markles after his preachy GQ interview on forgiveness

There are as usual far more monarchists on these threads who tend to swamp anyone with a different perspective with replies.

I am not going to attempt to answer eight of you individually ! I have already stated my perspective pretty clearly.

What I will say though is that I profoundly disagree that mentioning AMW is changing the goalposts!

I used to be a monarchist. But when I learned that the late Queen, Prince Philip and Charles paid off Virginia Giuffre and BP put out a statement calling her a liar, and when I read Lownie’s book and his assertion that BP are leaning on former PPO’s so they don’t speak out, while publicly supporting the police investigation of AMW , of course it would change my perspective of the institution. And of course it would make me re-examine the other statements they put out about other people, such as Harry and Meghan.

It’s not changing the goalposts, it all speaks directly to the honesty and credibility of BP.

I can’t frankly understand why more people do not feel the same way!

@Fairweathersorties9 - the supporters/excusers of H&M are the hardline royalists. H&M are a royal Duke and Duchess and cannot do wrong, it would seem. Well, I don't kowtow to that, or anyone "royal".
They carry on like they're 18thC royals, waiting to inherit from an Absolute Monarchy, so can behave how they like. Without question.

You could admit they’ve lied and still defend them. Hell, I could manage a better defence than “but Andrew”. It’s a shame they haven’t hired me to help actually.

Also - isn't it funny that all the people they've slagged off - for money -AMW isn't one of them?

I notice that you don’t reply to my fundamental question that if BP lied about AMW why do you automatically assume that they are telling the truth about M&H?

Is anyone prepared to answer that or is anyone prepared to just say that the AMW situation has planted some doubts in their mind about the credibility of the institution?

The palace has said little to nothing about Harry and Meghan.

I don’t think they even figure into the equation for me, actually. I don’t think talking about the King’s family does him any service. I’m quite sure he and his family us all to stop. Ignore the sideshow, so to speak.
