Having read the second part of the serialisation of Spencer's book, it seems to me his sympathies lie mainly with Harry - and it strikes me as odd the book has launched within a very short time of Harry's return to the UK.

Collusion? Who knows?

On another thread someone has posted the sections of the book from the funeral. It's interesting because it's full of sympathy for poor little Harry, worrying about the effect on Diana's death might have in him. William gets a sentence saying he's handling it well.

That bit stuck out for me . William is only 2 years older than Harry but it’s written as if he is an adult .
Shameful .

Was there a motorcade at the school for H today ???

No. Just a lonely Range Rover.

No. Just a lonely Range Rover.

What ? And he walked all the way from the car to the building without armed guards ??

Feast your eyes, @TheTwerkingDuchessOfMonteshitshow A splendid display of alpha maleness.

Thank you kind lady. That is indeed a sight for sore eyes.

The Range Rover.

I read somewhere (don't know how reputable) that Harry-in-schools-with-Invictus is a push by him/the charity trustees to get Invictus and what it stands for embedded in the national curriculum. I believe it's something to do with children learning from day 0 how the armed forces operate, what they do for the country, about veterans and re-integration post-service.

Absolutely. It's almost as if Charles S is choosing a side.

This is a great idea, if true, although 'embedding in the (already very full) national curriculum' may be a step too far.

You can see the strain it took on the poor love though.

canklesmctacotits · 18/09/2026 18:29

Meg won't be seen until h's popularity rises. He will make sure he's seen out and about "cheeky Chappy" good ole Harry constantly for the next few weeks

Yes - we’re all being played like a fiddle!

Doesn't take much to find out they are his personal medals he has been given and can wear as he pleases. Guess you will now be saying why was he given them too as you obviously won't want to accept he deserved them as much as anyone else who gets given them.

Agree, and FWIW there are images of some of the other veterans at the function last night with medals on display so sounds like the organiser specified decorations may be worn and H complied with what was on the invite...

You were right. A special exception was made for Harry at the late Queen's funeral.

I'm confused. I thought Harry wore a suit at the funeral. You mean the exception was that he could wear his medals?

I wonder if it was like "Well, if you won't let me wear a uniform you better let me wear my medals or I'M STAYING HOME!!!"

Well if he is , he’s very foolish.

Back in the old days, at 5’8”, I was considered very tall for a girl. I was always getting the “Oh, a big girl like you…” comments.

Recently, my 8 year-old granddaughter, who is the absolute double of me, said, “Nana, I told those nasty girls in my class that just because I’m bigger than them, they should remember I’m still little.” ❤️

I suspect William would know that feeling well—having people expect you to act older than your years simply because you’re tall.

Three of his medals are the Golden, Diamond and Platinum Jubilee medals.

Yes they are. I’m a retired police officer and I have the same medals, they are awarded for merely being in service at the time of the jubilee. Mine are in the loft.

He wore uniform at the vigil for the late Queen .

I saw a video of K&W getting the train after their trip to Scotland this week. Just a little counterbalance to the nonsense.

Starryfifty · 18/09/2026 18:41

What's his nonsense argument about security if he can rock up to a school safely ?

Yes, I should have said - they are attempting to play us like a fiddle.. .. I predict at lot will succumb though 🤦‍♀️
