A continuation of the exiting and entertaining shenanigans of ham….

I doubt the RF would have commented publicly on the matter of the non-existent invitation; nor when PP and Harry last spoke although I'm pretty sure they're on film as chatting politely on the steps of St Paul's for the Queen's Jubilee Service and they would also surely have spoken at/around the funeral. Which leaves us with them not being invited because PP didn't want them there.
Have a think about why that might have been the case, Harry (and it will be nothing to do with William).

I was dismissed haughtily on some thread or other for being a new poster . Somewhat embarrassingly (the hours wasted!) I have been on MN for 22 years!

Ok , I was hoping to avoid being the thread police but I see that is not an option now …..so far this thread has managed to flow without friction and “comments “ about other posters , I have already stated that everyone is welcome here regardless whether they are new or not and hoped that one comment from one poster who I assume worded her opinion in a rather clumsy fashion could be left.
nobody else on this thread has made anyone unwelcome or called their posts “nonsense “ , let’s get back to the topic at hand.

It’s ridiculous, isn’t it, Cheeseball? Some people are very bossy. I was once dismissed (on AIBU) for having ‘contributed enough to the thread’ and advised to go.

In fact, I was about to go out for the day anyway but I felt that honour demanded I stay and post again after that😀.

I think it’s fine for pps to remind people not to derail, but other than that, let the discussion go where it will! That’s why it’s fun.

There were rumours around a week or 10 days ago that they couldn't sell tickets because of rumours Meghan was going.

I think Meghan fails to understand the difference between charity events for British aristocrats and US celebrities - the Diana awards does not want to go the way of Invictus and become the "Meghan show" where the focus shifts from the cause to her antics and wardrobe.

There was also an item on one of Neil Sean's youtube podcasts the other week. (Sean had spoken to several of Harry's old friends) and several had received calls from Harry (who ghosted them for a decade) wanting to get together in town - however most are wary these days as they don't trust that it will remain private and believe that the press will be tipped off. They are no longer 20 somethings and most have proper jobs and families and don't want to be tabloid fodder for a string of "Harry reunites in his old haunts with his mates" articles in People, Closer, the Sun etc etc

Well …if we believe these royal commentators…Neil Sean has said that ham are going to film it themselves and shop it around to interested parties afterwards 🤷‍♀️

I know that any announcement that you’re leaving a thread can provoke the old lines about it not being an airport etc, but sometimes it’s only sensible to do that, I think. Occasionally there’s a lively discussion going on just as you have to be elsewhere and I don’t want to look as though I’m ignoring pps or questions!

Well ! If we believe his sources and such ….apparently he’s having trouble finding anyone who will talk about his mother on camera ( both complimentary or otherwise) , possibly because he wants to interview them personally and because he doesn’t want to pay them ….so there are questions whether it will actually happen at all!! 🤷‍♀️ ( as always allegedly)

I think it's pretty disgusting Harry is now trying to cash in on his mother's death. She died a long time ago in a tragic accident now Harry wants to monitise her for his own benefit. It's in very poor taste and I think Prince William will go ballistic.

his very first paid speech ( that allegedly netted him a million) was in front of a group of financiers and bankers …..what did he talk about? ….his mother of course! , I can only imagine what the audience thought.
