He got the info from the secret service in the country he was resident in, is that not more relevant. Why is he complaining now about something from 4 years ago, seems to be totally irrelevant. And to top it off, he then moves his family to a country where he believes they are unsafe, because they cannot even hold a cricket bat. Do eff off.

If he was in the UK then and the threat was credible, he would have been given the security he needed until the threat passed

Hes clearly not going to stop wanging on about security until he gets what he believes he is entitled to. Its very tedious. Can one of his advisors not tell him it makes him look like a petulant child and only makes people dislike him more?

I don't think he cares what anyone thinks. He's beyond that. He's just utterly wrapped up in his own sense of entitlement.

Do you know, when I see young crown princess Ingrid, after the death of her grandfather behaving with such decorum and Princess Catharina-Amalia, who had to move at a young age to Spain, due to kidnap threats from the mafia, and this man in his 40’s, goes on about his security, in full blaze of leaks, it makes me see red.

If you care about your safety don’t leak, keep your details private. It isn’t that hard. But as the saying goes you can’t argue with stupid.

It doesn’t help that that former senior police officer Neil Basu (fan of Doreen Lawrence and big fan of DEI-ing the Met in all the wrong ways) seems to still be blathering on publicly in support of H. Keep it discreet, boys. This is highly confidential RAVEC security under review and discussion, so don’t turn it into a political stunt from a royal clown in a circus.

I’d imagine the royals all get death threats. Harry isn’t special in that regard. He just thinks he is. If he doesn’t feel safe here, then he can go somewhere he does.

I have no expertise in this area, but is it really a good idea to put that kind of specific information about intelligence in the newspapers?

If they eventually decide he needs some form of security then fine, but it’ll show him that if he just keeps hammering at a particular issue he’ll get what he wants. So he’ll keep going.

The Times article just confirms for me that H&Ms “move back” is nothing more than another attempt to get their full time security reinstated.

Yes. To put this in perspective, I’ve had death threats. Had some temporary police presence and security precautions and advice. These resources are rationed.

It happens to a lot of people in public life and/or with any kind of public profile: teachers, police officers, local councillors, university staff, journalists, writers, broadcasters, nurses, doctors, the list goes on.

Also, in their tens of thousands, there are the women and children in abusive relationships. Many of the latter end up murdered. Yet this over-privileged oaf Harry wants more and more resources and focus.

Just read that Prince Edward and Sophie only received taxpayer-funded protection while carrying out official public duties. Lady Louise and James never had state funded security while growing up even when late queen was alive and Edward was the monarch's son.

Well, the precedent is there. Other children and gc of the monarch also get case by case security and their dc none at all. Harry needs to STFU.

With him talking so much about security he draws such attention to who has security and hasn't which surely must heighten any risk to all members of the RF. It's such selfish behaviour.

So Harry expected the country where he wasn't to tell him about a security threat rather than the country where he was? Does he not even understand how Five Eyes works?

He expects to tell everyone how threatened he is, then for us to have sympathy with his paranoia, rather than frustration that he is can't see he is putting his own security at risk. In a cost of living crisis, in a country with real political and social problems he thinks he can jump the queue and badger the Home Secretary into telling an independent committee what to do. He expects his family to apologise, for some reason I've never understood.

Maybe don't tell everyone where you live. Maybe don't tell everyone you'll be doing a regular school run. Maybe accept that minor royals, yes even those whose parent is the monarch, don't get armed security unless there is a threat. Maybe accept that minor royals are simply members of the public where security is concerned. Maybe accept that the public are watching your behaviour and are increasingly seeing the bitter adult rather than the popular child.

I don't care whose son he is, on either side, I do care that he seems unable to behave like a rational, productive member of society. Same grudges, same demands, same entitlement, same paranoia, someone get him some effective mental health support.
