I've just read that Princess Diana had a miscarriage a few months before conceiving Harry and that the pregnancy was announced a week before she miscarried. I have never ever heard this before. Is this correct?

Ai will have sourced information and put together your answer. It was in a book more than likely or her tv interview, but it was never officially announced.

I’ve never heard about this before. Could you/Google AI be getting confused with Meghan? Meghan miscarried a few months before conceiving Lili. I don’t think it was ever publicly announced she was pregnant with that child but I remember people speculating about it at the time as she went great to lengths to hide her figure which prompted theories.

Why do you think you would have known though? For the vast stretch of human history things like this were kept private, no matter how famous you were. I expect women throughout history who are famous have had miscarriages, stillbirths, been raped and lots more and it was successfully hidden and is now completely lost from the public record.
It is only in the last five minutes, metaphorically speaking, that such things have been widely shared and spoken about.

My DM, DSis, DSIL and another family member have had 9 miscarriages between them. It's not uncommon and, as another PP has pointed out, wasn't discussed much in the past

What difference does it make to know about something like this when it was decades ago? And, even when people are in the public eye, they have the right to choose whether or not to release medical or personal information and we should all respect their decisions
