Anyone know in what context Harry described William as a champ today? Tom Sykes has just done a Substack column on it but it's for paid subscribers only.

I read that the court costs may work a bit like a student house share - that they don't have to split them equally as they are jointly responsible. They can go after the claimants with most money which is bad news for Elton, Liz and Harry!

That would presumably be for the ANL costs.

The claimants still have their group and individual costs to cover (depending on what the insurance agrees to cover).

MM isn't coming to Invictus! Just breaking on leaked to People.

Good news, although I very much feel for the veterans.
It's entirely the HAM show.

I can't remember the source but it was shared on here that fully abled people were playing wheelchair sports- it has become a very wide grift.

@Starryfifty I agree it can be greatly streamlined, and there are questions to be answered around the organisation. I just think it's a shame for the participants who will have trained so hard and want to enter and compete in good faith.

But who of the participants have been injured in combat since 2015?

Yet a higher percentage of combat military (to non military) are currently sleeping rough tonight.

Not2identifying · Yesterday 19:51

Tonight the BBC news coverage was very flattering. Talking about Harry doing what he does best, how comfortable he is, etc. Nothing about how he's exploiting sick kids for his own image/profile. It's going to take forever for some sections of the media to stop fawning.

Yes it was in the Tom Bower book that a team of amputees from Nigeria (?) had to play against a team of muscled gym bros from the US )apparently they all had MH issues) who jumped out of their wheelchairs when the game was over

Not saying that those with MH issues shouldn't play - even in wheelchairs if they want - but surely there should be separate categories?

Even if it was a positive remark, it’s not on at this point.

How did William and Catherine develop the discipline required to maintain silence and composure in the face of a family member turning on them in such a public way?

It was in Tom Bower's book. Just one jaw dropping moment among many!

@noonames you forgot

It's all so William can hide his affairs

And so he can distract from the fact he beats his wife .

It's horrible. For William it must be devastating, his only sibling turning on him like that. They had so much to deal with when Diana died. Kate, kind and supportive, the sister he always wanted, slagged off over lip balm. How nasty and vicious, what a viper Harry has turned out to be.

Noodledog · Yesterday 19:57

The bit about a veteran being injured while participating, but Invictus hadn't bothered taking out insurance for competitors was a real "what the actual fuck" moment for me though.

I think that might have been Tom Bowyer reporting when he was in Canada watching (?) wheelchair basketball and there were a handful of Nigerians on their team and lots of Americans on the USA team who got up and walked away after the match. Can’t remember the explanation that was given - hidden disability or something?

This is where it gets crazy- fully limbed people should not be playing against amputees and it shouldn't be unacceptable to say it.

I understand why you said it, but this is a lot of what PH has been protected by. No one can say anything bad about IG because it looks like they are criticising injured veterans.

Which is why no one in MSM is really questioning the funding, or the where the combat injured veterans are coming from, because it looks in bad taste.

IG was of its time. It is perverse to be spending tens of millions of pounds on such an event in 2026- especially considering the participants pay their own costs.

Probably by knowing him well enough to understand that denying him their attention is one thing that will lead H himself to reveal what a dickhead he is to everyone else 🤷‍♀️

The RF gave Harry Invictus in good faith. What a mess.

That slanderous statement DL signed didn't have the air of a woman who had been 'conned' into taking part in the case.

I agree. DL seems well up for taking on the media. Sad as she had such a good reputation a few years ago.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · Yesterday 20:00

Speaking of Meghan, not a word from her these past few days?

Which I think is really mean. If my DH was getting a hammering in the press, I would want to be around to support him. Just going quietly along to events and standing in the background, or being wherever he was staying so when he came back I could make him a cup of tea and say, ‘Oh well. Never mind. Look, at least we’re together. Chin up, chum, this will pass.’ Or, if I had delusions of grandeur like Milady, I might put out a statement, ‘Whilst respecting the decision of the court, I fully support my husband’s noble motives in attempting to bring this action….’ Blah, blah, blah. Instead - nothing. Crickets, as the young folk say.

Some subreddits that are pro HaM are far more insane than anything ever posted on MN. I followed one for a few days, but the levels of delusional stupidity were way too extreme to be entertaining.

I think it is this guy who fractured his neck during wheelchair rugby - only to find out he was uninsured
