Weird threads happening at the moment - another one now about that Norman Baker DM article from a few days ago. All the old H+M fan club back on the boards, trotting out the same old stuff about posters obsessed with hating Meghan and no wonder they had to escape. It feels to me like something’s afoot. So - has Charles said no to a visit? Has the ANL case or the RAVEC decision not gone Harry’s way? Have they been told no meeting unless they stop bigging themselves up, briefing the press with lies about Charles paying for security - so negative press about the Waleses is the next best thing? Are they trying to look good in comparison to the Waleses to boost their chances of coming back / half in half out / Harry doing royal engagements again? Public opinion and the Sussexes’ terrible behaviour, reputations and popularity ratings must be part of the argument against this. Or maybe they’re just getting ahead of some big royal press moments coming up, Wimbledon and George’s birthday.. 🤔

There are rumours that the judgement in the ANL might come in the next week

I just saw an Instagram reel of Harry talking about Travlyst ...an absolute load of word salad. I think he is telling us all to fly less? Or to make sustainable choices around flying?

He has probably flown more in the past year than I have in my lifetime! The bloody cheek of him!

Yes, this is right up there with posting photos of children is a bad idea, bullying is wrong, I have never been friends with journalists, we never said they were racist, the UK is too dangerous, we didn’t collaborate with that book, come join our fight against misinformation and the RF is so awful we had to escape. And so on.

@noonames agree things obviously not going their way and not living their best life. If things were ok, these weird threads, wouldn’t be happening.

Does Travalyst still exist? I've heard nothing about it for years. Talk about flogging a dead horse. Get a job, Harry

Yes, it doesn’t exactly scream ‘everything is going great, we are completely relaxed and living our best lives’…

He gives me such a pain in my arse about this bollocks.. I can't even eat a Kiwi fruit without thinking of all the carbon it took flying from Chile to here so with the result I don't buy them & there's other fruit & veg too 🙄😡

Edit to add yes firmly this pair of fucking hypocrites @MrsEmmelineLucas

I agree.

Moreover, it is not just the BBC. Media organisations have decided to place ideology ahead of factual reporting because, as another pp rightly said, they are focused chasing revenue. For example, the Guardian skews far left and GB news skews far right. The net result is a poorer world view as people argue over opinion and not fact.

People are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts. By amplifying narratives over fact journalism has failed the public and this information degradation has a dire impact on our ability to function as a democracy as the public square is awash in nonsense. And that's before we get to how social media and AI bots are amplifying noise by purposely agitating people for clicks and engagement farming...anger for profit.

IMHO, a democracy cannot thrive with an ill-informed public.

Agree with you both.

It's getting harder, not easier, to find information - as in facts, rather than someone's interpretation of the facts.

I've come across Ground news, a site that shows which stories are being reported by right or left-leaning media organisations, and where each has a 'blindspot', but it's very skewed towards US news (although you can personalise it a bit). I'd like to find a similar UK site.

The Sussex PR machine is one big troll outfit imo. IMO, all the anti Wales threads serve multiple purposes:

Obviously plant disdain for W&C in people’s minds, compared to the shiny pair who apparently “shook up” the RF and the media (of course they didn’t);

Bolster the fragile egos of their principals. Give them hope that they are more popular than W&C and will be greeted warmly in the UK as returning heroes filling the void left by the Wales workshy dullards;

As a safety net, hope to elicit some horrible comments about the Sussexes by people pushing back in favour of the Waleses and taking it too far. This will allow them an out for the visit whilst framing themselves, once again, the victims of the racist UK;

Find a reason to blame William and Catherine if it all goes wrong. Even their absence will be spun as driving a wedge between the Sussexes and Charles.

Agree, the now permanent campaign to seek to overshadow anything the Waleses are involved in (even their own birthdays) is part of the strategy.

Republic are very much complicit agitators. Having the population at loggerheads over the RF is a win-win for them. W&C are more popular than ever, and Republic’s support has fallen off a bit. W&C and their children are the main obstacle to their goal, and they don’t mind that their campaign of disinformation and character assassination involves children. I very much doubt they will be waiving their yellow placards at Harry, as he is their useful idiot.

I’m afraid to say my faith in Charles in all this is not high. Some clear messaging from him towards the Waleses would be great (to counter the negative press campaign) but I suspect that won’t come.

I’m afraid that it very much does still exist. If you check out the UK government’s new Jet Zero initiative they use research gathered by Travalyst.

Would love to see a triple slap down in the next few weeks:

ANL loss

RAVEC no change

KC3 selfie with the Harkle’s doesnt happen.

The bottom two would be no announcement though.

I suspect Charles thinks he has done this, with Catherine at the state banquet wearing a tiara that has only ever been worn by queens, and with her alongside him and the Queen at Trooping accepting the salute.

However, I also suspect that the beast that is 'the media' would need to be hit with some rather less subtle signs.

Edit as forgot to include quote the first time.

It’s really odd isn’t it, you would think they would be getting the bunting out at their conquering heroes return, though maybe they are saving that for when they actually arrive, though how the Sussex fans who claim to be republicans will spin the visit will be interesting, how do you celebrate the return of H&M to the institution you profess to despise? it’s a head scratcher for sure.

It's a tricky one, because they were supposed to have "found freedom" and started an amazing new life away from the toxic RF. Turns out, they are desperate for the connection, the cachet, the wealth.
What about KC?.Will he be generous with the children's trust fund? Will he pay for their education? Will he provide a house in the UK?
That's what they will need to find out.
Otherwise it'll be QVC and At Home With the Meghans.

Beautifully put, @My2cents1975; all I'd add is that others broadcasters don't benefit from a licence fee, and IMO neither should the BBC

Produce your silly spins and self interested narratives by all means, but don't expect the rest of us to bankroll them, and especially not when pretending any kind of integrity

They seem a bit more fractious than usual maybe it’s the strain of having to watch the chickens come home to roost - best to leave them screaming into the void - not worth the input.

I don’t think she has anything to sell on QVC and I am not sure they could secure any deal for a TV show - except something semi scripted which took the piss out of themselves - but the delusional and grandiose Harkle’s take themselves too seriously.

What are their current revenue streams?

Travelyst, Better Up, As Ever? I doubt there’s much profit at this early stage in As Ever.
