The Privy Purse - DoL is primarily and largely and the main pillar of income says the Constitutional Law website and other sources.

'Royal Household'. It's all names and clever accounting to shut up anyone questioning anything. They are clever at it, I will give them that

Let's not accuse posters of being someone else. It's bordering on breaching TGs

I look forward to you applying that to articles regarding Meghan and Harry and not taking them as facts or believing they are rhe ones who leaked things. After all as you say lots of false information is being reported. Just can't trust their use of sources anymore either.

Perhaps a public service announcement about this as well? @simpsonthecat

LipglossAndLies · 22/06/2026 19:55

What services is Andrew getting access to through his ongoing shady connections...

bluegreygreen · 22/06/2026 19:58

I knew a bit about the Crown Estate, but not much detail, @jeffgoldblum, and very little about the other properties.

The NAO document lays it out clearly, as many people had been requesting.

They ought to cut off his mobile and internet access, he's still a liability !

God knows how the palace is going to handle him going forward

Ah I see you have helpfully included a link ! , I missed it when I read earlier, I will definitely have a read @bluegreygreen! I admit I find it all very fascinating.

But I don’t understand how he managed to go if his passport has been seized ? He is still under police investigation .
Or have I misunderstood?

Catching up so this may already have been said but I don't think a passport seizure is automatic. I think it's reserved for those deemed a flight risk and presumably even an ex-prince of the realm is considered unlikely to do a moonlit flit.

As an aside I think I said at the time the bruising could have been caused by a mardy nag baulking at the weight of his lardy arse and chucking him into the bracken.

Looks like I may have been right 😁

Always good to clarify things in case posters have missed it @CathyorClaire! , I also think another poster ( apologies the name has fallen out of my head!) mentioned that people might have confused it with mandelson who apparently did have his passport seized.

i rather enjoyed the alternative boules injury mentioned earlier! 😁

simpsonthecat · 22/06/2026 20:30

It definitely looks boule shaped, I can almost see the lines from the boule

(We have a boules tournament in our garden every summer - due August - and what annoys fam is, I'm quite good at it for some totally bizarre reason )

But the question is…do you have the common plastic boules holder or the fancy wooden one that was favoured by our very enthusiastic old timers? ( disclaimer I was very young then! Old timers may not have been that old in reality!)

Thanks for clarifying , clearly I was mistaken . Having said that I am surprised that AMW wasn’t considered a flight risk given how partial he is to the ME !

We have two sets. Plastic in a plastic holder colored boules for the kids for the beach when they were young

Then the adult version wooden case lock up with steel boules measuring stuff and all the gubbins
My fam are a bit competitive 🤣

A long time ago we used to go to France a lot and played petanque on gravel.. we live near a pub that plays boules, has a tournament, and has a proper place to play it. I am much better playing when I've had a couple of drinks 🤣

Oh that takes me back… I remember the children’s sets ! , I remember the ( to me ) very pretty and heavy metal boules , so polished, the care the groundskeeper took on the grass ! ( get off kids!) and I remember thinking you could totally kill somebody if you accidentally plonked them on the head!! 🤣

That bruise on his face

He was playing boules. As he tried to kick his boule closer to the jack in order to win, someone threw a boule at him
Official not really!

I assumed Ferguson had belted him for losing her title?
Incidentally, where is she? I wondered if she’d moved in with him at Marsh Farm.

That's a very good question! Surely she can't still be holed up at the £10k a night health spa in Switzerland? And if she is, who's paying for it??

I wonder if anyone would actually listen to him?

He is so universally scorned I am thinking he would be dismissed at best, or vilified at worst

Jesus who on earth has self respect so low that they would not only work for that moron but put up with being shouted at by him for not treating him Royally enough?

bluegreygreen · 24/06/2026 19:42

It's a privilege that not everyone has to be able to choose who you work for.

Interesting.

Thank you.

I'm kind of in two minds. I don't doubt MW knows where some pretty putrid bodies are buried but on the other hand this is also reminiscent of H vaguely hinting he had enough material to fill another 'Spare' while never delivering.

Problem for both is going nuclear also means the royal trough would be forever locked to them and I think both are still snouts deep in it.

On balance I'm calling rather inept sabre rattling although I'm qualifying that by saying I'm here for it if I'm wrong 😂

Not so long ago working for the royals and putting up with any associated bad behaviour was positioned here as worth it for the CV boost.

Has that changed?

I suppose, Cathy, that will depend to a large extent on the world view of whoever the CV holder wishes to impress

The value of being able to work to exacting standards will always be there, but with younger generations less enamoured of the monarchy I'd expect the fact that
the work was done for this particular institution to matter much less than it did
