The royal family

They're all parasites and I cannot fathom why it continues in 2026. I find them all a huge national embarrassment.

Ihateboris · 24/03/2026 09:15

Yes, parasites is accurate

This is not anything new. They have been pulling the wool over the public's eyes forever! All they seem to do is get wealthier, and do nothing, but hoard their wealth, it is disgraceful.

BoxingHare · 24/03/2026 15:55

So Crown Estates coughed up three million for renovations, which I imagine must have included the stables since it's advertised as being very modern with full facilities (I don't think for 1 second they put their own hands in their pockets to pay!!!! 🤣🤣🤣). And then the pair of them keep the rent after someone else has paid for renovations.

Their collective properties are always needing renovations aren't they????

Thanks for this thread, Ihateboris.

I posted about this on another thread and will copy the post across here here as this grift is well worth a discussion and it's a shame you have had only a handful of replies so far:

Frustratingly enough I have been saying this for years and linking to the rather uninspiring looking office space in question for years.

The space was originally Ardent HQ and Ed charged his own company to rent it. The only year Ardent made a profit was the year he waived the rent.

He rents Bagshot for around £90k a year which means he can cover this with a nice little sum over.

If anyone's further interested in Ed's business activities ( I hope it's the case), this article is worth a read:

www.standard.co.uk/hp/front/mystery-of-edwards-ardent-fan-6314790.html

£2.2m down the pan and a mystery injection of offshore cash potentially allowing him to retain rights to his recorded material.

Yet another shoddy royal git flying under the radar.

And interestingly it's also now being touted as a film location:

I bet whoever's coughing that £130k a year for a tranquilly located office will be delighted to accommodate a film crew and all its trappings...

There is plenty of room to build a lovely new estate of houses on Bagshot Park, let’s face it the south-east could always do with new homes. Great links to the M3 and London from there too. Waste of good land at the moment.

Sickening. Yet the forelock tuggers find no fault.

Two more parasites.

Unusual to see this pair of dullards in the news, though.

Honestyboxy · 24/03/2026 21:32

Sadly I thought they were two people who seemed to be doing a lot of good work, and seemed to have some moral scruples.

Wonderlandpeony · 24/03/2026 21:39

I visited Kensington Palace years ago and they had a box with a message practically begging for donations towards the roof repairs.

I remember thinking why on earth weren't the RF paying for the roof repairs themselves out of the money they make on the entrance fees, or out of their own pockets with all their wealth.

Sadly I thought they were two people who seemed to be doing a lot of good work, and seemed to have some moral scruples.

I believe they can't help it, Edward was brought up with this kind of thing being totally normal and he knows no different. Sophie, who knows, she was trying to sell access to the RF back in the day.

They can do all kinds of good things but if they're deep within a culture where you can get away with the things the RF get away with then it's just ordinary business isn't it? Why would they see anything wrong with it.

And when you've got some people saying we'll, if it was legal, what's the problem, or that it's someone else's fault for allowing them to take advantage then why would they be inclined to do things differently?
