‘Featuring Meghan’s handwriting’ 😂😂😂

is this the excess inventory from the bookstore Christmas pop up?

The 'featuring Meghan's handwriting' thing strikes me as a bit cultish.

And peppermint tea for an 'evening ritual'? Peppermint is not a 'calming' herb. Quite the opposite. More of a morning or afternoon drink I would think. Wouldn't chamomile be more appropriate?

Trimmernow · 13/01/2026 17:34

Well that’s another pack of lies - suggesting that The Parents Network is consistent with Archewell’s model of just incubating charities and then pushing them out the nest to independence as they have done with IG and Travelyst …. !!!

Both of these, IG and Travelyst, existed well before Archewell was even a twinkle in H&M eye.

The out right lies of this disingenuous and grifting couple is very transparent.

The usual ‘jumping on someone else’s bandwagon’ and getting as much fake praise / fake prizes and fake PR as possible, then being ‘oh so humble’ … I think the word purloiner may be appropriate too

Yes I thought exactly the same.

Crikey @BasiliskStare the MN bug seems determined to get your point accross!

Is that good or bad - not sure I understand - completely down to me being dim am sure 😊

ETA - Oh I see what you mean now. My computer is not great so I may have pressed the button too many times owing to the MN bug .

Apologies - I wasn't as exercised about the point as it might appear 😂and 💐to all having had to scroll through that

47 quid for some peppermint teabags, a jar of honey and one of those (I assume) little magnetic page clip bookmarks. Leather no less!
Honestly I just can't imagine who would be throwing their cash at her for this sort of rip off rubbish. Is there any information about the provenance of the honey? As I've previously mentioned it's very expensive anyway, even by the standards of top brand honey, but I am very fussy about honey, I don't buy anything that might be blended or potentially contain Chinese honey or have sugar syrup mixed in. I nearly always choose UK only, usually Scottish or local producer.
If there's no provenance/traceability on her $28 jar of honey I wouldn't buy it if it was 28cents.

It looks like a couple of inches in size .....hmmmm 🤭

Peppermint tea to aid digestion from too many dried flowers !

You’ll be shitting sprinkles!

MrsLeonFarrell · 13/01/2026 20:36

I don't like honey in drinks. Peppermint tea in the evening gives me reflux and I fold page corners over to mark my place.

I'm definitely not the target audience.

bluegreygreen · 13/01/2026 20:48

I was surprised when I moved to work in Canada for a while to find that coffee shops there had honey available to put in coffee, as well as sugar and sweetener (even chains like Starbucks).

Before that I'd only really thought of using honey in hot drinks like lemon & honey, etc - could imagine it in fruit/herbal teas but really not in coffee.

Isn't leather a bit off-brand?

Unless of course it's sourced from cows grazing sustainably and dying gentle and natural deaths?

My2cents1975 · 13/01/2026 22:33

It is curious to launch any product in the USA in January, especially two days before people receive their monthly credit card bill on the 15th...containing all the spending over Christmas, other December holidays and New Years.

Mid-January is basically the absolute bottom of USA retail spending with wallets typically at their lightest.

Perhaps not if your target market is older teenagers who have their Christmas spending money and not enough life experience to spot a grifter when they see one. I can’t honestly think of another demographic daft enough to buy this shit.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 14/01/2026 06:53

I don't believe 'older teenagers' are remotely interested in Asever.

Thedom · 14/01/2026 06:56

It’s from a small British brand, it’s standard product, customizable with a logo and quote. Meghan’s quote is one of their standard quotes.

There has to be some kind of a connection, she didn’t source that randomly all the way from California, wonder what it is !

Older teenagers are reading digitally, even school books are digital. A bookmark is for the crowd who apparently aren’t her demographic.

Oh, and they are a fraction of the price of Meghan’s, but they don’t feature Meghan’s scrawl.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 14/01/2026 06:56

You’re probably right! (To both posters.)

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 14/01/2026 06:59

(Although not all teenagers are reading digitally. I work with teenagers and many prefer good old fashioned books.)

It’s funny you say that, my older teen is also reading books now, she has just discovered the Shopaholic series, so you are right ! They are also all using digital cameras again instead of their phones. Meghan’s bookmark would be too cringe for her though.

ThePoshUns · 14/01/2026 07:57

The bookmarks are sourced from this UK company and cost £9, how can she justify charging so much for hers and her honey? She is really rinsing her loyal fans.

Using your post as an example.

This, right here, is Meghan's main problem. If, say, Stacey Solomon (who has millions mot followers than Megan) released a drastically marked up but fairly ordinary bookmark no one would really notice or comment. Every thing Meghan does attracts attention out of all proportion to her actual sphere of influence because of the title. At this point I'm not sure dropping the title would have any effect though.

jeffgoldblum · 14/01/2026 08:16

Americans on Reddit have also discovered the book mark on Amazon, it can be personalised and bought in bulk, costs between $4.99-$6.99!

I don't think the title is relevant, she is married to a very famous British Prince, (arguably more world famous that any previous Royal Prince, partly due to changes in media cover and significantly because he - and William - were thrown into the headlines when they lost their mother in tragic circumstances at a young age. Her father in law is a high profile King, those would be true even without the title. Add to that, the enormous press interest they generated by their very royal wedding then the dramatic exit and public dispute makes them forever memorable, title or no title. They would have a very hard time avoiding press interest - and because of the public family breakdown's a high level of scrutiny without completely withdrawing from public life. And you cannot withdraw from public life while turning up at celebrity events as a speaker or for a photo opportunity and being the face of your brand.

I agree, but this is back to the problem that it is easy for her to be talked about/make headlines the problem is converting that into sales.

The polls show that young people are not as interested in the RF- they have their own celebrity Kings and Queens. Which is why teens would not be buying a book mark from AE.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 14/01/2026 09:36

But back to the bookmark, so all she is doing is a form of drop shipping?

Nothing is exclusive.
