Anne ignores Kate?

At about 3.15 in the video, Kate turns to Anne with a smile to remark on something and Anne completely ignores her. Did she just not hear? I don’t know why but I find these kinds of moments fascinating 🤣

God these events look so boring and long winded. Anne was probably lost in her own thoughts, wondering if there's anything good on telly later.

Anne is how old? bet her hearing isn't great.

I imagine Anne was going through in her mind what she has to do for the rest of the day/week/month. She's a very busy lady. She was just lost in her own mind, I do it and family keep asking if I'm okay

Anyway, it may mean that Anne hates Kate.
Or she answered with a quick "Mmm" or something.
Or that she just didn't hear her.

I don’t think Anne is overly friendly with anyone in her family.

I think anne will like and admire Kate, but not be over friendly as they are 2 different types.

Doubt that Anne and Catherine are at loggerheads just different priorities/stage of life/personalities.

As to what I think… I’m torn between Anne simply not hearing Kate OR having no truc with small talk and purposefully ignoring her! 🤣

Of course she didn’t ignore her, she’s just lost in her thoughts with very loud music playing.

They are at work. Whatever she thinks of Kate (and I imagine she thinks she’s fine) they are colleagues and Kate will be Queen so there is no way someone who has devoted her whole life to propping up the royals is going to be rude to a well behaved member of the family without serious provocation. Do you really think Kate’s provoked her?

I guess it’s possible Anne loathes Kate and blanks her socially, or it could be that Anne gets on fine with her nephew’s wife and this was a minor blip. How will we know which? Gosh, if only there was other footage of them interacting so we could assess which option is the more likely…

I don't think she ignored her. You can see she turned her head slightly to hear whatever Kate said, she just didn't think it necessary to make a verbal response. In my opinion Anne isn't the type to be chatty at these sort of events. She's probably well aware that everything gets scrutinised by lip readers these days.

I am more entertained by the moment shortly after that when Camilla looks like she is trying to stifle the giggles.

The music was thundering out. People were moving in the procession to go out. Kate and Anne were looking in the same direction. Kate made a very brief remark. I think it's highly possible that Anne didn't hear or maybe Katherine said, "Look at such and such" and Anne did.
Maybe Channel 5 will be able to make an hour-long programme about it one Saturday evening soon, with the valued Paul Burrell adding in his two-penn'orth about the Anne/Kate feud which we've never heard of before.
