Harry knocking on random doors in London

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 09/05/2025 23:28

What a strange story! I’ve seen it being reported that Harry was wandering around a road in London, knocking on (at least 3) doors whilst looking for a friend 🤔🤣

How would you not know which house your friend lived at?

The ‘it’s clearly fake’ narrative is an odd one to me.

Agree if it was, the papers wouldn’t have published it to start with.

secondly, if someone was going to fake an image of Harry, surely they would have him doing something more interesting or scandalous than this non event.

the only reason this is a story is because of the rank hypocrisy in Harry “I fear for my life in the UK” wandering about in public knocking on strange doors. He’s obviously not afraid for his safety and it clearly shows he’s perfectly safe - so his demands for tax payer funded security are just about status and wanting to save himself the cost.

Aside from that it’s just really weird behaviour. If a friend was expecting him, surely you’d just ask them to drop a pin or you’d get your security to find the right address before approaching the door. And if they weren’t expecting him, why would you just rock up at the door on the off chance? Surely you’d text or call and ask if they were free for you to pop round.

It suggests his security may not have even been there.

Spot on. He obviously didn’t feel he needed them.

It actually makes me sick how the media are going for him. The public have been drawn into despising and mocking someone at every turn. I was just on a thread about friendly countries to visit and I kid you not, somebody posted that unfriendly countries were anywhere where H&M had been. What a weirdo!

It feels really uncomfortable to witness people just openly bullying these 2. I thought we'd got past all of that as a nation, with more awareness of mental health etc.

He clearly had security somewhere in the vicinity. I suspect the people he believes could hurt him (extremists) aren't hiding behind posh doors in London. If they were, they wouldn't have been expecting him either. Tbf, he has more reason to fear his own country people and the hate that they spew.

I'm not keen on the royal family at all however, I don't behave like this. I think Harry is becoming the bully boy for people who have biases (whether conscious or not). That's what makes me so angry.
Honestly, there's less hate towards murderers.

And breathe...!🙇

So you think he hasn’t brought any of it on himself? That he is totally blameless?

Lockupyourbiscuits · 11/05/2025 10:23

I think the papers suspect who he was visiting and maybe he didn’t want security ( or his wife ) to know

an old friend male or female who either didn’t know he was coming or didn’t want him to visit

maybe that’s why he didn’t know the exact address because they hadn’t replied

and we all know he won’t take no for an answer

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/05/2025 10:26

Goodness me so many new names to this board! All vociferously defending the Prince of the Realm, where were you all on the interview threads?

Noticeable isn't it, @BigWillyLittleTodger? Confused

MummyJ12 · 11/05/2025 10:39

I saw this article too. Thanks for linking. I think this is damage control. The people who live on that street are obviously mortified by the rumours all over the internet that this was Harry on a mission to buy drugs. It’s not a good look for such an affluent area.

Makes an absolute mockery of his argument that he’s not safe in this country though. You only tell your security detail to not be with you when you’re doing something you don’t want them to know about. Otherwise, you stay in the car and have someone else ring the doorbell. He is such an idiot and this is all very sad.

CurlewKate · 11/05/2025 10:44

If it is genuine-and, bizarrely enough, it’s starting to look more likely that it is-I know who won’t be popular. The person who sold the picture to the Sun, that’s who. The street WhatsApp will be red hot!

They're getting money by fraudulent means? That's new to me.

It really shouldn’t be

Yep. People in affluent neighbourhoods like this don’t usually appreciate having attention brought to their doorstep.

Why would that home owner be unpopular? They've just provided some concerning evidence about Harry's behaviour.
I hope those around him start to intervene.

They remind me of that game from decades ago, I think it was called Pac-Man, where a wee figure would appear on a screen and before you knew one had become many and then just when you were thinking where had this lot come from, one by one they’d just fall off the screen into some kind of oblivion never to be seen again.

It’s news to me too. Unless selling shit jam and scurrilous gossip is fraudulent.

My mum and stepfather did this years ago and there was a party/drinking going on the wrong house. The bloke who opened the door was drunk and for some reason took against my stepdad, ripped a crucifix from his neck and punched him. Which must have been nice.

Anyway, I've done this - no face punch - when visiting a friend because I know where they live but not exactly where. I'm guessing first wrong street? Second wrong number, third got it right. I have a friend who's lived at the same address for over thirty years and if I visit her I know which her house is because it's different to others and then I go "Of course that's the number!" I have to check her address constantly because my brain just refuses to remember the exact number. Total brain fog for decades. Now, he's going to houses which probably all look much the same. He's got something about the address wrong, he's frizzled because he's lost his rag and unlike me, he doesn't know exactly what his friend's house looks like. Comedy ensues. Or abject fucking insanity.

I know some/most of you here are tongue in cheek and have made me laugh a lot, but seriously I worry about some people. Making a fraudulent living?! What, making subpar lifestyle television, books, blah. How dare they take our money, how dare they make their own money. Personally I think either give him and more important his family which is who he seems most worried about especially the children and I get that. They're safe he visits although given no one in the family talks to him it seems moot which is a shame but that's mad families for you. He does not one thing that hurts anyone here. Nothing. He makes a living in ways which you might find pathetic. I don't find them anything because I'm just family do shit that is pretty normal when you're nothing but a brand and can't exactly work in the way that normal people do and are used to a pretty pricey lifestyle. You do you and have at it.

Also, I know I don't have to read this and believe me I haven't read most of it because my poor brain! I had no idea the depth of the obsession but I guess it's all Megan's fault because that seems to be the way of things. She might be anything, everything or nothing you all think but her existence does nothing to harm you except seeming to turn you into a bit of a not totally balanced person. And no, I won't look at a thread that's in royals again. It's almost as bad as the middle east arguments in here. Although there are fewer sane people!

The depth of obsession? Oh behave

Harry wants a RAVEC review when he comes to the UK because there has been credible threats on his and his family's lives from Al Qaeda and the police can't work with his private security and they can't be armed in the UK.

This was all part of the court case last week - do you think its funny that an actual terrorist organisation have made death threats to Harry, his wife and children?

Edited

Knowing all this and just how much these court cases cost the U.K. .
Has this not answered exactly why the media and posters are questioning exactly why Harry feels he’s safe to roam around a London street randomly knocking on doors!

midlandsmummy123 · 10/05/2025 00:11

And if you believe everything you read in the Sun.... or the Mail.... without any kind of context - aren't we all over the endless posts knocking Harry, its like every single day hundreds of mumsnet posters have nothing better to do than bitch about some rich guy that they've never met who's happily living in California - and it just means more profit for the likes of the Sun and the Daily Mail.

A random rich guy???
come on now , thats the last thing Harry wants to be !
have you not listened to his own words lately 🤣

jeffgoldblum · 11/05/2025 11:02

SuperTrooper14 · 10/05/2025 00:21

You’re missing the point. The big man baby has cost the British tax payer hundreds of thousands when he took the Govt to court to argue he felt so unsafe in UK he needed armed security on call 24/7. Cue massive man baby being caught on Ring camera randomly knocking on houses looking for his mates without a care in the world. NOT the actions of someone terrified for his safety.

Exactly this!!!
and those who are waving this away clearly are either not following the news or are deliberately trying to shut down this particular story!

No you’re not.
You’ve mocked Harry and been dismissive and rude to me and just about everybody else.
You can’t call yourself innocent when there’s 6 pages of proof.
And all because you believe some bullshit lies the DM were hoping you’d believe.
”Come on in the water’s fine.”
Sheezus. My bullshit meter went off on page 1.
You don’t fool me.
I’ll seeya around.

You and quite a few other posters have descended on this fairly innocuous thread and bullied and attacked the op as a group.
now you are complaining about her defending herself!
hypocritical.

Well. What a sweeping statement.
You look on your Ring doorbell and see the image of a high profile, controversial celebrity, currently angry because he can't wring the UK taxpayer for top level security.
Here he is, mooching around. It's a story. I don't suppose they care where it ends up

In what way are the people of that street in the Sun? Do you know where that street is and who lives there? How do you know that a "posh" resident isn't the one who gave it to the Sun in the first place? Do strangers on a street get to dictate what their neighbours can do with their doorbell footage?
