Someone's telling fibs

Celebrity chef Jameson Stocks criticised Meghan's cooking show, he is reported as saying not only did he receive death threats but also a warning letter from Netflix , Netflix have issued a statement denying that they sent him a letter.
So , who's fibbing? I absolutely believe he received abuse for the criticism, he hasn't published the letter so that can't be verified. But if he did receive one and it wasn't Netflix, who sent it ?

That’s interesting! All he has to do is produce the letter of complaint for all to see. I wonder who sent it if Netflix aren’t owning up. Unless he was lying in the first place 🤔 I love a good mystery.

Same here ! I believe him about the death threats etc (I wonder where they came from 🙄) so why would he lie about the letter?

It seems unlikely he lied. If someone has written to him claiming to be Netflix, is that a criminal offence? Who would be so unhinged as to send a fake letter, never mind death threats!

I have a good idea who sent the abuse, quite a few people have been on the receiving end of a certain group of M&H fans .

It did seem odd to me that Netflix would bother to send a legal letter over criticism of the show / Meghan.

I can’t see why the chef would lie though, so if it wasn’t Netflix, then who? Maybe he will publish the letter as evidence, that would be interesting.

The only thing I can think of is that someone involved is very litigious when their letters are published, so it might not be wise for him to publicly publish it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do think as others have suggested, that someone other than Meghan (ie one of her very ardent fans who collectively are known for their aggressive behaviour) may have sent this, and the chef may genuinely have believed it was from Netflix - as was the intention.

If Netflix confirmed it was fake, he may not be showing it if he is pursuing a criminal investigation.

I have no comment on the veracity of his claims, but honestly, I would not want him serving me soup...
