Meghan Markle using HRH title

I see she is openly using the HRH title which was agreed with HMTLQ would NOT be used once the pair of them were no longer working royals.
Her personal stationery with the crown over the M “With compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex” is just about the most pretentious and wankeriest thing I have ever seen.
Candlelight supper anyone?

She ordered a job lot of business cards on Temu and is being eco friendly by using them up. Best ignored.

Can we all call ourselves HRH now? Because that’s where we are pretty much. Merch-a-long-a-title, bless.

The irony being, they’re not even doing the anti-monarchy republicans any favours; just bolstering sympathy for the RF for having to put up with it. The Aspen Institute are well wasting their money.

TheHerboriste · 30/04/2025 01:08

She’s such an obnoxious hypocrite.

tartyflette · 30/04/2025 01:11

Looks very pretentious, and I don’t think she sees that at all.

Somethingthecatdraggedin7 · 30/04/2025 01:24

I wonder if Harry ever cringes just a little bit, secretly?

HMTLQ would have had a subtle but robust response. She knew when to act and when to let things lie. I suspect KC is a little too blinded by emotion to give any real response or make a point. I hope I'm wrong.

It's bloody offensive to issue a statement saying "I'm not doing X" when it's there in a photo.

Mickeychampionwhatgoodami · 30/04/2025 02:06

It's all she's got to try and punt her jam or whatever else she's selling.

Funny article in The Spectator about her using a HRH title

www.spectator.co.uk/article/does-meghan-markle-truly-believe-shes-still-an-hrh/

‘But the existence of these cards either suggests thatMeghan and Harry had an awful lot of spares knocking about on their departure, or, alternatively, that it has suited her to continue to use her former HRH billing whenever an opportunity presents itself. (Amusingly, given the likelihood that this news would have become public before now had the compliments cards been sent out in quantity, it seems that this is either a very recent development or that relatively few of these gifts have been given.”

The (put-upon) spokesperson for the Sussexes has issued an unconvincing denial, saying ‘they do not use HRH titles’. This is a surprisingly definite statement given that there is now clear visual indication to the contrary.

If we were to be generous, we might say that it barely matters how Meghan chooses to embroider her stationery. If she wishes to continue to believe that she is HRH in her own self-created kingdom, then who are we to judge?

😂

I always sign my Moonpigs 'Field Marshall Esma Cannonball, Knight Commander of the British Empire.'* Don't want the fuckers forgetting, do I?

  • Obviously, the Esma Cannonball bit is made up for Mumsnet purposes.
Vallmo47 · 30/04/2025 06:13

She is so embarrassing.

If you happen to order anything from fortnum and mason, their list of titles in the drop down is rather fabulous. I've been 'reverent mother' before and there were various royal titles. My postie looked very confused when he delivered to 'staff sargent cereal killer' one morning.

I assume it isn't actually illegal to use these titles falsely? It's not like calling yourself a protected term like 'architect' or 'barrister'. Van the RF do anything but quietly fume? Perhaps MM has realised this and decided 'fuck it'.

It would seem to fit into the general theme of mislaid self importance. I get the feeling that she really really wanted a title. Nothing else (responsibilities etc) just a shiny title she can put on her stationary.

Haha I do this. I send stuff to my dad and label it “wing commander”. He’s not or never was one. I don’t suppose that matters though!

RAF officers might be a touch offended, but I'm not sure they could do anything.

You should promote him to Group Captain next time you send him something 😁

My DD used to get info sent to "Lady DD of LaMarschallin" as she signed up as that at an exhibition we went to.

HugelyExpensiveCrystalDuck · 30/04/2025 08:01

I once sent a complaint email to John Lewis about something anaphylaxis based that happened in their cafe and accidentally selected a military title in the drop down menu and they must have sold my data because over the next few years I had loads of junk mail addressed to this name.
