If Kate accepts, I’d love to see her in some beautiful gowns. The British Vogue cover she did a few years ago was nice….but she has a models figure, wear something beautiful.

Seemingly she’s been offered the US cover but I’m not sure she would do that. Prob UK

Kate Middleton offered to appear on Vogue covers

Anna Wintour , the magazine's editor-in-chief and the most powerful woman in fashion, is said to have made a personal appeal to the Princess of Wales.

I hope it happens and like you that she wears amazing gowns! I am mostly here for the fashion and tiaras

healthybychristmas · 26/01/2025 06:53

But she would've been offered that many many times, surely?

TheCrowPeople · 26/01/2025 07:55

Good grief, the English syntax of that headline and the article below is so unprofessionally mangled that I'm having some sort of froth of mild disapproval here.

MrsFinkelstein · 26/01/2025 10:52

I struggled to read that article as the grammar was appalling. But the DM have been pretty bad for that in recent years.

I'm sure Wintour has asked, I'm not sure Catherine would do it. Maybe as part of a UK fashion edition?

Would love to see all the tiaras though ✨ ✨ ✨

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 26/01/2025 10:55

I’d love to see this. If I recall last time she did a very low key, country wear style. I would love to see her all glammed up in ball gowns and tiaras, although I imagine the optics wouldn’t be best. It’s a tough one.

BarbaraHoward · 26/01/2025 10:59

There's no way she'd do it in ball gowns and tiaras, it would look completely tone deaf when so many are struggling to put food on the table.

IAmATorturedPoet · 26/01/2025 11:02

It’s a lovely offer and I’d like to see her do it. Maybe she could negotiate having a percentage of sales of that edition going to Cancer Research or similar.

IcedPurple · 26/01/2025 11:16

Not sure if I believe this.

Vogue don't make it known in advance to whom they 'offer' covers, as it would be pretty embarrassing if their target turns them down. Even more so when it's a member of the royal family. Not that getting the cover of Vogue is that prestigious these days. The Kardashians managed it.

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 26/01/2025 11:18

Seeing her promoting the British fashion industry (that pours millions into our economy), sustainable fashion, or in some sort of promotion for cancer survivors/ research would be nice. It doesn't matter what she's wearing, as long as the message isn't tone deaf and/or giving fuel to the loonies to attack her again.

Kate could get the cover of pretty much any magazine in the world with one phone call from her assistant.

Same here. Confused

Agree with other posters, it would only be done to highlight certain causes. But that doesn’t preclude wearing couture gowns. But would have to be done in support of a good cause. For example, the gowns sold off at auction for charity or the designer linked to a particular charity.

I take the point that why would Vogue release this to the press, maybe because there are already talks going on? I could see Kate doing it now in a way I couldn’t have imagine I’m the past.

I can't imagine they'd publicise it whilst talks were going on.

Cynically, it seems like the kind of offer you leak to let be known which side you're on.

NotOnThe · 26/01/2025 13:11

Love ❤️ hope she does it

CesarSoubreyon · 26/01/2025 16:18

These kinds of stories always read like Buckingham Palace trying to gauge a public response to an idea.

If enough people comment favourably we'll probably see her doing it in the near future, somehow supporting a cancer charity too.

I'm not necessarily against it, but I am cynical about the motives of these kinds of articles.

Atlasvue · 26/01/2025 16:30

I don’t think that how BP works…..listening to what DM readers think.

A thought popped in to my head on reading this.

I'm not sure it's a good idea, but a number of these themes crystallise into Catherine Walker, who died of breast cancer. And whose surviving husband used to donate some items (unconnected to royals) to London cancer related charities (for fund-raising auction). Seeing the Princess in Catherine Walker wouldn't exactly be unusual, so not enough to hang an entire cover/major article on. Just an example of how things can come together

BESTAUNTB · 27/01/2025 15:41

Would be great if it could link into £££ for cancer research.

MrsLeonFarrell · 27/01/2025 18:02

I could it possibly happening in coordination with a state visit to the US.
